Expired Event Tickets

Hello,

With the upcoming changes to the way the collectables work with event tickets (no longer needing to buy multple pets), i had an idea. Sell "Expired Event Tickets".

My suggestion is as follows

- Create a new shop at the event tent which sells all previous years collectables (including the previous years golden persuits) Note: any golden persuit rewards for the year 2025 will only be available in 2026 etc
- Allow the players to purchase a new item named "Expired Event Ticket" for 100k gold each
- keep the ticket price the same as is now for example 10 tickets per berry.

This will create a large gold sink ingame which is a good thing, and also allow players to get anything they have missed. Further to this, as the Ticket price is quite high, the sale of tickets via the crown store should not be impacted that much.

Thoughts?

i am all for Golden Pursuit rewards returning in some way. though it seems likelier they will simply be sold in the Crown Store.

Also we already have Phillip Dormier, the impressario's Assistant? he sells the old event collectibles that had fragments, like the Dibella and Akatosh items.
Which other event collectibles are there that are not tradeable and thus available in Guild Stores?

if we did get another event merchant, they would likelier require Event Tickets just like the indrik merchant and the assistant. they sell items that were previously sold for tickets so why would the price change?
Event Tickets are way easier to obtain than 100k gold.

from the u48 pts patch notes
MORPHING COLLECTIBLE NOTE: Assembling morphing collectibles from the 2026 offerings will no longer consume or require the pet. This is by design and intended behavior. You no longer need to reassemble the bat pet to make other offerings; all these collectibles stand alone.

Also note that the Roseblood Bat Pet fragments cost 10 tickets each, as opposed to the previous 5 for consumed base items. The bat will not disappear upon assembling its morphs, as noted. We are currently deciding on how to handle the older collectibles in this regard so as not to leave you with “dead fragments.”

We do have a plan for tickets. But you'll likely see this in a future PTS cycle. We just wanted to make sure that the changes during this last PTS cycle made sense.

Can you please elaborate on the plan? Completely fine if the plan changes, would just be nice to know what the plan is. Maybe you've missed the last few times I've brough this up, but would really appreciate if you guys moved away from the tight-lipped style of communication.

Also, what's being done about the rather persistent feedback that PTS feedback isn't affecting the outcome of development? (Things like reported bugs going live).

To get all the indriks you will need 100's of tickets, along with trying to aquire that years current items too. If you are a new ish player or a returning player, this is not possible to do, thus i suggested selling tickets at 100k each

@ZOS_Kevin Any chance a quarterly roadmap of event tickets can be made available? This will be the second year that I was planning to go after the Crimson Indrik. But putting it on hold again because with the 50 tickets needed for the House Keys (already have the base pet standing at the ready), I can't be certain there will be enough tickets to go around. It doesn't even need to be a breakdown for each event. A total number of tickets to be given away in the quarter would be enough.

I like the seasonal release concept. But having multiple big ticket items in the same quarter/season is a bit rough if there aren't enough tickets to go around.

yes it indeed takes a while to get indrik mounts, but it is possible.
i have acquired indrik mounts even whilst getting new items.
Plus not needing to purchase morphing pets repeatedly actually makes it take less time.

i am not exactly against another way of getting old items, it is more that i am confused by what this new merchant would sell and why these tickets need to cost 100k gold?
a new player is unlikely to easily get millions of gold.

The merchant would sell the tickets used to buy the indriks etc, i also went for 100k not to devalue the collectables and to make sure that they are somewhat difficult to get, as people did spend days / weeks getting the tickets at the time of release.

I tend to like it, it makes sense, I think.

Right now pets cost 15 tickets and you need to get a new one every time you morph it, and another 15 to get a "final" one to keep.

So far this year I've spent 45(?) tickets on the pets? I'm trying to recall what I've already morphed, but I do have one ready to morph into the house, and the fragments for the "final" pet I keep. So it may actually be 60.

Going forward it'll be 30 tickets for the pet which we keep, if the number of tickets available holds and the cost of the morphed items stays the same (3 or 5 fragments @ 10 each), that gets me ahead 30 tickets. More Indriks!

Yes. Exactly. With indriks requiring 60 tickets (20 for base + 40 for morph), and the 4th quarter big ticket item being 50 tickets (not including base pet after change), that's a lot of tickets (90). And that's excluding all other event items that may cost tickets. So it would be nice to be able to plan accordingly.

While you’re there…… it would be really useful to know in advance which returning items will be available. Some require quite a few tickets, so if you missed an item and also want to works towards new items, it can be challenging to know what to go after - if that makes sense!

I totally appreciate the desire to keep new items under wraps until the right time, but if you could release something that shows a schedule of older stuff….. that’d be great :)

I have a suggestion for the event merchant's assistant (Philius Dormier).

During the New Life Festival, the Impresario offers all of the latest pet morphs that have been available throughout the year. For example, this year during New Life, the Impresario will offer all fragments for the Stonewisp of Truth and Law, plus all the fragments from Q1 (customized action morph), Q2 (costume morph), Q3 (mount morph), and Q4 (house morph).

My suggestion is to have all the morphs that the assistant offered throughout the year as well. For example, if someone had been trying to work towards the Deadlands Scorcher Skin during the Q2 events and couldn't quite collect enough tickets for the last fragment of the morph, it would be a nice to also have one last chance to finish an older collectable during New Life Festival, similar to how you have one last chance to finish the current year's collectables.

I don't think Philius Dormier currently does this at the end of the year (my apologies if he does and I don't remember). If he doesn't already, having a second chance would be especially nice considering we just never know when things will change year to year and if we will ever get a second chance the next year.

FWIW, if I know something that I've wanted is coming, I get excited. That's how I got excited for the Stirk Motif. Giving people the freedom to choose what they work towards is really empowering and instills loyalty. I'd appreciate if you could pass that sentiment along to the event teams.

Also, adjacent question - are they reading the forums and seeing feedback as-is, or is it filtered through the CMs?

They are getting feedback from us in Community and reading feedback as is. So both are happening.
