What is there to do during the Witches Festival?

This is far from my first festival (I think I've done it every year) but I feel like I must be missing something because i played through most of it in under an hour, including listening to the dialogue.

Also this is not about the rewards, I know all these are farmable for various drops. I'm asking about what you can do, not what you get from it.

I killed delve and world bosses for Plunder Skulls, then completed the quests to fight the Crowbourne Horror and Hollowjack. After that I think all that's left is collecting the other types of Plunder Skulls, but surely there must be more.

What am I forgetting?

There are the two (I think) daily quests. And if you want the maximum of daily golden Plunder Skulls, you‘ll want to kill one boss of each kind (dungeon end boss, open world, delve, public dungeon, incursion, arena, trial and Tho‘at). Additional bosses of the respective kind will drop purple Skulls.

Each kind of Plunder Skull can drop another set of Dremora motif pages.

100% passive XP boost if you have any alts or skills that need that. Two tickets a day toward a new house. Can turn into a skeleton (if you want). Several of the plunder skull sources line up with daily quests (Defend a Solstice Camp, Undaunted daily delve, Undaunted pledge, WB dailies, MG public dungeon daily).

for me personally, nothing

Since I only do solo stuff, I don't do the 2 quests for those bosses.

so it must be said to be an easy event, just do what I usually do

But maybe you should level a new character, just hmmm because

Yeah, the XP boost alone is worth it. Plus, you get those plunder skills from killing bosses and such. I like to think of it as like another flavor of the undaunted event. Its def worth doing. I don't understand why Writhing wall is going on at the same time because it seems like the goals between those looking for skills vs those looking for kills would produce even more conflict.

The two most significant things with this event are 2 event tickets/day and double XP. So get your two tickets and power level any baby toons you might have. Now's also a good time to work on subclassing due to the double XP too.

You can start by visiting "event" places like where camps you need to light fires for spawn and that sort of thing. For a more detailed guide to that here you go.
