Black Gem Foundry HM is Superb

BGF has the best dungeon HM fights, whoever the developer is who came up with the mechanics should be put in charge of all future dungeons. CA HM used to be the best, and is still great, but now that everyone skips Kargaeda it's not nearly as fun. I play in a small guild that focuses mostly on dungeons, and BGF repeatedly gets high praise from folks I play with.

There aren't really any crazy dps checks, but the HMs require team coordination and communication, especially the final boss.I really hope we see more clever mechs like having to memorise the boss posture and safety squares for a later phase, super fun.

HMs should be challenging and require team coordination, there is already Normal and Veteran mode for folks who want it easier.

Thanks ZOS, keep up the great work!

    I completely agree.

The BGF HM was hands down the most fun I’ve had in a while. My group went in totally blind, and it took a bit of time to puzzle out all of the mechanics, and it felt amazing when we finally got them. Because of that, BGF is solidly in my top 5 dungeons.

I can’t wait to get the motifs to start dropping.

Such a fun run. Agreed, having mechs that require reaction AND thinking is truly rewarding. keep up the challenges!

Indeed, the prog is strong with BGF. Naj is ok (and I love the aesthetic), but BGF is the one that requires some real team learning. As a healer, I appreciated it rather than the "spam heals and pray to Meridia" dungeons.

yeah I really love this one and its bosses. At first I wasn't thrilled because I don't really like the Coldharbour aesthetic. But it's great. It's in my top favorite dungeons, top 3 for sure. I love the first two bosses especially as well.

I figured I'd add in case devs ever read this and want concrete examples:
I like mechanics that are very ''physically interact with the environment'' that aren't necessarily related to standard hits on the boss.
non BGF examples of cool mechanics:
blocking Zaan's fire beam, hiding behind Domihaus pillars, evading ghost walls against Thurvokun

BGF examples + examples of other mechs I just like as well overall:
first boss--moving around to find safe physical openings, using boss and positioning attacks to break crystals

second boss--ability to affect boss arena helpfully or poorly from boss heavy attack position, group member positioning importance based on how impactful it is to remove mini atros, the blocking of the laser (like Zaan beam), the unforgivingness of the laser highlighting importance of group positioning, the mini crystal kite AOE as another way to physically impact the boss arena helpfully/poorly based on how it's kited, the fact that dodgerolling through AOEs doesn't avoid the damage

third boss--ability to affect boss arena helpfully or poorly from boss heavy attack response (even better that all group members have a part here), the physical running to manipulate arena when running to reveal shade colors, the boss pose mechanic, differing arena mechs based on the color that's up, the plentiful heal absorbs
