ToT achievements - Card Conjurer and Memories of the Spearhead - drop rates

is this working OK? i just opened about 20 gold ToT coffers and almost as many blue ones, and I didn't get a single one. i have all the card clues already, so there were several more gold coffers before that

Yep, this is ok, just very rare drop) I collect it many mounths, and now 9/10 for Spearhead and 6/10 for Conjurer. I understand that it takes a long time, but nevertheless, I will have something to remember when I collect these achievements) This is much more pleasant for me than if the drop was more frequent and I collected it quickly.

yes, well i was hoping for at least one! i'm not too keen on playing ToT, but i guess i have some work to do. i have 2-3 other achievements to complete. i probably need a break after that, so who knows when this will happen

These drop rates are ridiculous. I’ve have a single emote fragment since they started dropping.

They were never exclusive to gold boxes - iirc they didn’t even have gold boxes on release. Besides, it really doesn’t seem to have much of a difference in what drops you get from what quality.

Either way though, the drop rate is entirely too low for these things.

on average if you do all dailies each and every day you get heavily played card (HPC) once a month
and you get zero Spearhead's Colors per month so WW3 is more likely to get you before you unlock Captain Kaleen houseguest or you ll have to live forever

@ZOS_Kevin , sorry to bother, but could this be passed along to see if the drop rates for Spearhead Scraps and Heavily Played cards are as intended? It seems that something happened that severely reduced their drop rates and is preventing them from dropping at all in lower tier coffers, and these items are bound so cannot be obtained from guild traders.

Perhaps I had terrible bad luck with my slightly above 1% drop rate. Another player reported a 3% drop rate of card fragments from gold coffers after update 46.

The drop rate should definitely be looked at, these shouldn't be so rare. Anyway, just wanted to confirm that they can drop from the purple coffer from the PvE daily, I got one a few days ago.

That's good to hear. After update 46 I literally got hundreds of purple coffers and not one single drop.

are these sold by the IA vendor? i read that somewhere, but can't remember where...

Edit: found it, but i misread it. the person says 'with this drop rate, they have to be added to ia vendor'.

I gave up to farm these. I played about 800 dailies and got 4 pieces or so.

Worst grind in the game. ToT is horrible in itself and these close to zero drop rates are just the cherries on this rotten cake.

This remains the only thing in the game I have 100% given up on ever doing. I don't completely dislike ToT, but I don't want to play it this much. It's simply not interesting enough to justify it.

just put those fragments in IA/IC merchants cycle already..

I gave up on these and the low drop rate made me significantly less interested in ToT. I barely play it now and I used to love it. But between this and the way they kept nerfing the coffers, it just doesn't seem like a good use of my time anymore.

Yes, replace the Psijic Glowglobe pieces and the Blackwood Tapestry scrap leads with useful things like this.
