Well, I don't know how they'll handle upcoming crossplay but it's possible we'll have 60 character slots limit, which for many would be a huge increase.

Monks, Swashbucklers (WoW Outlaw style with dual crossbows and grappling hooks!), Shaman/Elementalists... bring it!tomofhyrule wrote: »Maybe a new Class would bring more...?

More character slots, yes.
But in the case they really do what I said in my comment with crossplay, merging and taking to 60 max, I am starting to wonder: aren't they gonna potentially lose 2 subscriptions due to merging servers?
If that will cause a loss, they'll have to monetize back in other ways.
If they give more slots but increase ESOPlus, for example, (seeing recent GamePass increase) I don't know if it will be good for game's health and population and engaging times...
