Dune, yes Dune, at least managed to give a building set for those who paid for content.
And people who paid $80 for the super special hyped 'wall' event? Got fetch quests, motifs they won't use, and then eventually, they'll be allowed to go into an area they already paid for.
This is the best of ESO 2025.
Until this year, I've bought all the content packs -but it was evident early on this year had no cohesive plan. I thought I'd get it later should my gut be wrong. That's not happening now.
I would like to buy ESO content 2026. However, I'll need assurances that this sort of content is not going to be repeated.

i think it will be repeated, with an ever-so-minor adjustment. this new event is not really that different from other things they've done. it's got a percentage progression element, which i imagine will just be fulfilled on its own. for some bizarre reason i thought hundreds of us would be heavy attacking the writhing wall with lightning staves ablaze lol. but no, it's a bunch of daily quests over time, none of which are very different from anything else we've ever done. i don't even know what i want anymore, that they could actually deliver

Yes, because that is how they advertised it would be.

I mean, I don't think you can just rock up to a war with just your weapon. Phase 1 is probably the prep and build-up phase. Probably more fighting in Phase 2 and 3. But eh, what do I know.
