Subclassing is what we got in lieu of class changes.
If there was a class change token, you wouldn't have to create a new char .. and then ..
_no need to spend crowns on skyshards
_no need to spend crowns on skill lines
So, changing a name cost nothing to zenimax, so it's implemented.
Changing class has an opportunity cost.

That's too bad. For me.
I hate Dragon Knight. It's no fun at all. It has no real melee abilities and no real ranged abilities and it's damage production is lackluster (although that might just be because mine doesn't have that many Skill Points because I don't play it that much because it's no fun at all because...) At least Sorcerer has impressive ranged abilities. I'd rather have multiple Sorcerers instead of one Dragon Knight. Which is what I was thinking of doing with mine.

Thank you for the information. I think I'll go drown my sorrow with that 64 oz tub of ice cream I just bought. I wonder if I still any syrup left...?

And how does this build heal itself?

All three of the skill lines in that build have heals.
- Ardent Flame has Cauterize.
- Stormcalling has Critical Surge which is a very effective semi-passive heal. Also has a passive boosting heath recovery.
- Aedric Spear has Puncturing Sweep .
Not a bad start before even taking Vigor into consideration.
