To ESO's new Direction: Crown Store feedback - what would make us spend more
Lower prices would make me buy more. That aside, when I look back on what I've bought this year, it was the new bear skin and the mammoth mount, and that's it. There isn't really anything I need, and I'd much rather earn stuff in-game.
I agree with everyone who's said to stop with the FOMO. Having to wait years for an item to be on sale again, just because you didn't buy it during the short period it was available, is crazy.
I stopped giving ZOS money after their response to U35 feedback. Cancelled my eso+ after nearly 10 years of continuous subbing and haven't regretted it a bit. It's much easier to deal with bad game management when you're not paying for it.
By the way, does anyone know what the percent comparison is for specialty items appearing in the crown store vs. specialty items that are earn-able via game play is? I don't know the official number, but I'd guess less than 5% of the specialty items available in ESO are obtainable via game play. It seems like almost every special item in game is massively over prices crown store junk.
As a new player coming from other MMOs and online games, a bit of stuff seems overpriced. Something that even most gacha games do better than Crown Crates is they at least have a guarantee after rolling a certain amount. The only other thing that feels bad is seeing something that was previously given out for free; I'm not asking for it to be free again but it would be nice to be able to purchase previous rewards with a bonus offer (like discounted crowns) that even players that have already obtained the item can purchase.
