Need an Antiquities furnishing lead vendor.

I think we need a vendor that sells leads for Antiquity furnishings. Doesn't matter if the vendor only appears on the weekends like the Golden and Lux vendors, or is permanent, with a rotating stock on weekly reset.

Maybe station the NPC in the Antiquarian Circle in Solitude and give them 5-6 leads from older zones. Leads from the new zone could be added once it's not "new" anymore.

Leads that you have completed the codex for could be greyed out to prevent undercutting the achievement furnishing vendor (or not! Lol) *Sidenote, I do realize there are some furnishings that do not appear in the Achievement Vendor despite being antiquity lead sourced*

much better than 2 leads a week in the Infinite Archive, which also include Mythic leads

I could be wrong, but has the Archive vendor ever sold furnishing leads, other than fragments for tables and music boxes?

Filer Ool has sold leads for crafting stations, the Blackwood Tapestry, furniture with multiple leads like Apocryphal Well.

no idea if there are specific exceptions

I forgot about the well. I would like to see more single lead items like the Phoenix feather from Summerset.(The bane of my antiquity chase. Only ever got 1 lead in all these years.)

You can get four leads per week - two different leads from the Imperial City vendor, and two from one of the vendors in Infinite Archive.

That said, I agree. Some repeat leads are almost impossible to get - I’m looking at you West Weald! - and the ability somehow to purchase a lead (or even increase your chances of having the lead drop) would be really welcome.

Right now RNG for leads seems unnecessarily nasty.

It does seem that the vendors only sell leads from multipart antiquities though. Not those from the basic one-lead-and-done furnishings.

Treasure map leads are an abomination and should 1000% be given to standard zone chests as well there is no excuse for nested RNG. And even though there were complaints about this since they put Ancestral motifs in there 5 years ago (and we still are missing a lot of potential Ancestral motifs…), ZOS is putting more things gated behind layers of RNG. And then to add insult to injury, half of the zone furnishing antiquities from Necrom on are not available at the respective furnishing vendors.

Antiquity Codex Completion for me has joined those idiot Tales of Tribute emote fragments as “something for which the RNG is so low that it’s not worth it to go for.” Isn’t ZOS nice to give us reasons not to play?

Many of the leads you can buy are for the ones you can pick up from static locations, or are easily farmed from public dungeons. The harder leads have not been available for the most part. They seem to want us to spend hard-earned currency like Fortunes and Tel Var to buy a treasure map which is likely just throwing it in the garbage bin. I don’t do that.

I agree with everything said here. Leads can be a big pain to drop. At the very least, we could get one that lets us buy duplicate leads so we only have to find them once.
