Please let us toggle windows off and on, since they are categorized as Lights

Almost every window is categorized as a light so why can't we toggle them on and off? I know they have a light and dark side but this doesn't help if we are using the window on an inside wall because the sunlight shines through the wall to the adjacent room.
Please give us a toggle for the light coming through windows.
