Can we get more value out of our AP?

For a currency that's even easier to get than gold, there sure isn't a lot to buy with it. Improvements have been made but the only real sinks are the golden and collections. Even the box sets don't sell for all that much anymore.
More things to buy with AP, please! More incentives and better rewards for PvP in general! PLEASE!

There's plenty you can buy to convert your AP into gold with other players, the amount of rewards you can get with AP are vast and those golden weekends just add extra little things you can pick up.

Honestly if anything there's too much AP specific stuff. Even Tales of Tribute doesn't use its own special kind of currency, you just randomly get motifs from dungeons/trials/etc, and there's nothing really specific to infinite archive you can pick up that you can't get across the game either. If they add more AP specific stuff it'd make it feel like you're required to play PvP to get rewards which is never an ideal scenario for a game aiming to let you do whatever content you want whenever.

Well, we obviously disagree re: first paragraph, and definitely for second too. Too much AP stuff lol? I'm not talking about ToT or IA and don't care about either of those things; I'm requesting more for AP since it's the most worthless currency in a game where the main currency is pretty worthless itself. We need more AP sinks so everyone and their mothers in Cyro aren't just sitting on millions (or billions!) with nothing worth spending it on. I also didn't say "AP specific stuff" so not sure where you got that. That would be cool though, since PvP could use some more pvp-specific rewards.

I'm also not sure where you got that eso is aiming to let you do whatever content you want whenever since endgames and metas exist. PvPers are "required" to play PvE for the vast majority of stuff in the game so I'm not sure what the double standard's all about, unless you're invoking the rule of majority, in which case, cringe.

I've been spending my AP filling out my stickerbook full of worthless PVP sets. Once that is over, I don't know what I will spend my AP on. Wish I could convert it into gold without having to deal with players who think they are Gordon Gekko

I spend mine on the 1k AP each tri-pots(Health, Mag, Stam) at the Battleground vendor. Those pots are useful and I run out often even though they sometimes give similar ones for calendar login rewards.

This was SUCH a game changer for me, part of why I hunger for even more stuff like that. It's the most valuable AP dump of them all, after you get your collections etc done.

There is always a floor for AP to gold value since there is a continuous demand for Dawn-Prism due to the continuous generation of jewelry crafting master writs.

Militant Ordinator chapters sell for a good chunk-o-change on the Traders. And the AP cost of those chapters typicaly range between 250k - 500k.

Dawn-Prisms go for less than 8k gold (their price has been decreasing a while) and are bought for 25k AP. That's absurd lol.

I only spend my AP on tristat potions now. The value AP went down the drain considerably. I remember only last year buying rallying cry boxes and selling defending ice staves at 600k+ while selling other weapons for 50-80k, divine belts for 100k, and jewelry for 40k. 1 million AP could easily be turned into 2-4m depending on your luck. Now you pull a defending ice staff and it only sells for ~100k while you get a bunch of junk that might sell for 5-15k. The same 1 million AP will now be worth roughly 400-600k. The same thing happened to deadly strike.

You did start the thread by saying AP is easier to get than gold. I wouldn't mind more things to spend AP and gold on but for various reasons materials and items all across the game have lost value on the gold market. Only fair that AP purchased items also had to make adjustments for an over abundant supply.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

If there were more reasons for PVE'ers to PVP they would go there. I had zero interest in PVP but wanted the skill perk that allows faster riding speed. I liked PVP so much I stopped PVEing altogether.

PvPers have tons of reasons to PVE, the opposite it not true. Not many things you can buy with AP or Telvar that are really significant to PVE.

I think ZoS is missing out on a lucrative nitch. PvP could be a real cash cow if some changes were made. Add a few houses in Cyrodiil were you are allowed once per day to exit from there into the zone for example. Add some actual War Mounts where when riding one you can fire a range weapon. etc.....

While I completely agree with the sentiment, sadly that's not the reality. Whenever there's anything remotely worth getting from PvP, the PvE playerbase (or at least a very very very vocal subset) blow their stacks over the very notion.

[edit] Caveat: I don't PvP much at all. Just not crazy about it. But I do enjoy the occasional excitement of having to participate when there's something I want that requires it. There's just something about the feeling of "imminent doom". LOL!

Agreed, I had thought about adding that to my post regarding PVEers being "forced" to PVP. I am the same way, I hate PVEing now it's so boring but I suffer through it. I will give them that though, being killed by another player can be upsetting when you don't like PVP versus being killed by a mob.
