Missing transition animations for NPCs in quests.

Where did the NPC animation in the story quests go? I thought it shouldn't be there, but I watched old walkthrough videos, and there, for example, Quen climbs the wall, and today I went through the storyline of the thieves' guild, and in the first introductory quest, Quen simply teleports behind the gate without animation.
The same thing with Isobel's first story quest: when we take the sword fragment, Isobel, instead of jumping off the cliff, simply teleports to the bottom.
