Does it mean its enough if a skill is on the active skill bar or do I need to use a skill with a duration for it?

✭During the duration; all summoning skills have a duration:
Familiar/Twilight: as long as pets are out this passive works.
Ward: While the ward is up
Curse/Prey: While the curse is up
Bound armor/armaments: while the armor/armaments are up
Atronach: the 15 seconds the atro is up.
Ward is the only one that can end before its natural timer.
The pets are the easiest way to keep this passive up permanently without juggling timers.1
