Need New Blue Star Perks and/or Pet-based Mythic

Now that we can stack all the pet damage skill lines on one character, we need to have more options in our champion point perks to focus damage buffs for pet damage, and/or we need a new Mythic aimed at increasing pet damage at the cost of other sources of damage.

I've experimented with pet builds before and with all kinds of different armor sets and have had little success in making a pet build that is competitive in terms of damage output. It would be nice to have champion point perks (perhaps a new purple star) that offer perks geared towards buffing your pets damage and survivability. Combined with a new mythic, players could really lean into the pet build concept if they so choose to make the build more specialized and more effective.

We have champion points and sets designed for heavy attack builds, and this is another niche that I think needs to be more completely built out.

    If Zos not give old pet damage it back ,this makes no sense.
    when they nerf pet,pet actually just a permanent weak dot need you spend 2slot in bar
    a suitable cp maybe do 3% more Dps, a Mythic maybe 10-15%
    but using pet is a punishment in itself...the line and pet too bad

    With CP 2.0 rework like 5-6 years ago, they promised the new system had the capability of expansion, nodes would be less powerful, but more unique. An objective to reduce calculation strain on the server by avoiding so many % multipliers. In the 1st year, they added a bit to the red tree, but I'd argue they probably had that content in development already, it just wasn't finished for the CP rework.

    Not only have they ignored expanding the options since the 1st year, but the options we have are so incredibly boring it makes you wonder why they even bothered reworking it in the 1st place.

    When they initially announced it, my hope was to see more things like: "Forked Lightning - whenever you apply the concussed status effect, deal x shock damage to 3 nearby enemies. This effect has a 1s cooldown."

    Niche, but interesting. A way to improve your aoe DPS in a very specific way instead of what we have now; "+6% aoe damage". Zzzzzzz.

    So yeah, I agree. Give us some pet nodes. Make Daedric Prey buff all pets, nerf it if you have to. Pet builds are not meta, nor will they ever be meta due to lower cleave, ai pathing/targeting issues, and the 2 bar requirement. Let people play how they want, but at least make it competitive instead of a shot in the foot.

    The cp rework is one of the worst things I've seen zos make particularly due to it's lack of iteration.

    I like the idea of slotted cp but there's not a single unique node to pick. Nothing based on classes or skill lines or anything.
