A question about luminous ink

Jewelry mats anyone can collect but you need summerset in order to make jewls and i thought that when scribing first became a thing everyone could collect the ink but now it seems one must actively scribe to collect the inks from the nodes?

Correct. You have to have finished each of the Wing quests to unlock the ability for Ink to drop from corresponding sources (ie.. Wing of the Netch enables Ink to drop from Resource Nodes).

Upon unlocking, ink drops are account wide though.

It is a fairly compact one-time story line to unlock luminous ink drops on all characters account-wide forever.

It's beside the point, but I thought it was a very enjoyable questline, so if you haven't done it I can definitely recommend it. Some of the tasks are quite repetitive, but the dialogue, characters and unfolding of the plot is nice
