Alik'r Dune-Hound... Why?

I don’t know if it’s very good for Zenimax’s image as a studio to try to sell a reward that is given FOR FREE to players when they reach level 24. (And yes, they can choose the other pet but… it’s just a matter of leveling another character. Honestly, ZOS, I found that pretty weird.)

it was very cheap, its price was 400(320 with +) in the past according to its UESP page

From when it was available in the store March 17, 2015 - June 3, 2017.
i think it got added to the level up advisor after that.

Yes most people have it,
But i have occasionally seen people say they choose to play with only 1 character and that can include people that started playing a decade ago.

My issue isn’t that most players already have it, nor is it inherently problematic that it’s available for purchase. The real problem is how damaging this can be for new players. Imagine someone just starting out—they see a pet in the Crown Store, notice it costs 500 crowns, and decide to buy it. Only later do they realize they could have earned that exact pet simply by playing the game. Honestly, I think there should at least be a clear warning to prevent this kind of situation.

Agreed with the OP. I think it's an oversight from ZOS part.

Same thing with crown respecs and such being available when there's a cheap ingame gold option that predates them. It's a disheartening new player trap in my opinion.
