Would you want to play with people on other Platforms or in other Regions?

    Cross-region only (PC-NA plays with PC-EU, PlayStation-NA plays with PlayStation-EU, and XBOX-NA plays with XBOX-EU)
I wouldn't mind playing with people from other places, because it keeps the game lively around the clock. But I really don't think kindly about the console hardware based restrictions in the games development. I'd rather see them drop support for older consoles altogether or providing a light/definitive version for those.

I get it that console seems dead for those of you on those platforms, but pc remains alive and well on both servers and does not need the population injection that console users seem to desperately want. The single, significant issue affecting PC users on both eu and na servers is PERFORMANCE which is now noticeable at every level of play. If devs act on this cacophany of merger demands and go ahead with attempts to implement some sort of single-server setup, it will probably result in in worse performance as more player accounts are shoved together on less hardware as this model would suit the suits(less spent on infrastructure etc...).

Maybe start with merging console populations, since console users seem to be the only ones consistently describing a population shortfall.

Play on pc-na - it's busy 24/7. Only pc-eu seems to be heavily loaded - as commented in the past by Matt Firor and experienced by eu players with login meltdown/congestion - towards a peak time from ~15:00 - 23:00 UTC. I think there might be another spike on pc-eu ~03:00 - 07:00 UTC but that may just be primarily pc-na players flipping servers (or eu-based players trying to get some dailies done before work) to catch the dailies time-change for crafting etc.

    ... play on Playstation.

I see a lot of players everywhere every day in many areas of Tamriel, and I play with many other players.
If there are any more, it will get way too crowded and only lead to performance issues (as is already the case with some events).

As a Xbox player, I don’t mind merging with the PS players. Don’t know about PC though since that could severely *** up the economy. Not against it, just unsure.

I’d rather they create a separate server for optional Vet Overland. That way you don’t run into players playing on Normal and two-shotting a boss you were feeling the good struggle to kill.

Cross-region is more likely to make latency worse for everyone because the servers in different regions have to be in sync.

Cross platform would be a massive economic shock for whoever isn't the most inflated economy.

i've spend and keep spending real cash -not crowns with gold - both PC servers and for any reason i dont want my
game purchases to merge ,i have different gameplay-style for each server and lots of toons and items that they took years to collect
    also economy is different
no freaking way i want joined servers -and/or with latency 200-as in PTS

consoles can do what they want

don't care. appears like a somewhat "completionist" thingy, and I am a completionist, but that's it.

shorter queues or lag-free game should be what the game aims for, so what would crossplay brings to the table?

I don't have a problem with cross-platform. What I do have a problem with is other countries joining in. I was in a dungeon not long ago where a couple people couldn't understand English at all. Thus making things that much more difficult. Imagine being in trial with someone who has never been there and can't understand you.

Of course, let everyone play together on any platform. I think those opposed to it are mostly worried about the economy, but that would settle down eventually. My biggest concern would be if the new humungous servers could cope, they seem to struggle enough as it is now.

Don’t really care as long as the game still works.

Merging regions better than merging servers though. I have an account on PSUS that has some same stuff as EU server - how would that work?

Still think there are far better things they could be concentrating on, and that crossplay of any type is going to be far more time consuming & costly than most here realise, for not that much reward.

I see farming bots (often cheating) on console.

They have the biggest problem in small scale, not as much in terms of large scale. I am reasonably confident, from how they describe their technology, that one megaserver could have hosted PC, XBox, and PSN instead of doing three separate ones. My opinion is that their databases would not support it, but they have done a lot of work on that over the years. In any case, the technology can host thousands (and thousands) of concurrent users, so long as they don't all try to go to the same place at the same time.

My only caveat is that I still believe PC has an edge on consoles, so console should cross-platform with other console players, and PC players should cross-platform only with other PC players.

Could just be my bias showing, but I've had too many bad experiences cross-platforming with PC players in shooter games and those were miserable enough experiences that I wouldn't even want to risk that similar experiences could happen in ESO.
