for what reason i cant enter in that dange in solo? what is this [snip] decision and why and who need it? I was dealing 40-70% damage from the last group. Why the hell do you want to spend more of my time on group selection? I don't need a group, they're all slow. Slow group selection. This is a terrible decision. Are you serious? This is nonsense. The group is a burden, and you're putting good sets (which don't come out every update) in a dungeon that I can't enter alone.
U47 is just disgusting. I'm glad I canceled my subscription.

    I'm on console so Im curious. I watched a guide of that dungeon, are you unable to enter the dungeon at all? Or are you unable to access one of the secret bosses with this pressure plate thing? The guide wasn't really clear.

    I agree that using cheesy mechanics like pressure plates to force grouping, is horrible dungeon design in every dungeon they’ve done this with. There was extensive discussion on the PTS about this already, and it’s a shame they went full steam ahead with it after hearing all the feedback. On ESO Live when showing off the new dungeon and asked about the mechanic, the response was a casual, “Well dungeons aren’t meant to be soloed.”

    Like I said on PTS, I think it’s fun to try and solo a dungeon, but if there is some wonderful interesting mechanic that makes it too hard for me that’s fine. But to simply lock players out with pressure plates to keep them from even trying…sigh.

    ZOS vision is clearly that group content should be played in groups, so there is that. 95 percent of the game is already solo friendly.

    write again that 95% is already designed for solo play. Is there any point in these plates other than wasting players' time? On normal difficulty, this dungeon can be soloed in a few minutes. If they wanted to make a group play, they should have added difficulty. Otherwise, it's just a pointless waste of our time.

    If its placed at the beginning of the dungeon is it really a waste of your time? I could understand the frustration if you get to the last boss and get person blocked.

    There are ways around such things. Like getting a second account and porting in with it for such triggers.

    I can see the complaint. I really can. But saying you'll ruin the dungeon for the others on your team is childish. It's not your teams fault that you want to solo. Try finding like minded people. Im assuming you're on PC but if you were on PS5, I love to go fast in a dungeon. The people are out there.

    As for the pressure plate. I see both sides but I think if you want to make sure it's only groups that can do it, do that with mechanics. The pressure plate thing isn't new or interesting. They're super super fond of recycling old mechanics so grab the fire share from vCR. Any number of things. Pve players like mechanics, not artificial road blocks.

    the mechs defo need a nerf (had to return to forum to add this statement was a joke) but i guess its still a way to get it out on forum that a particular person can solo a particular instance without just saying look what i can do

    If the difficulty is such that it can be done solo, it wasn't really created for a group in my opinion. Artificial barriers like multiple pressure plates shouldn't be a replacement for mechanics that require a tank, healer and damage dealers.

    This is sort of how I feel.

    Something being too hard to do solo unless you are really powerful? Fine.

    Having mechanics that make a group required? I guess also fine, but not all that fun.

    I have been having fun going around doing WBs and Public Dungeons solo just to see how far I have come since I first started. I am not up to trying group dungeons solo yet, nor some of the other content that doesn't force a group, but is meant for a group. But, it is still fun to test myself on it.

    But, having a mechanic that locks me out of trying it solo makes that particular dungeon no fun to me at least.

Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

    How does it hurt anyone if someone wants to solo something? It's like "fun" is not even a consideration. I was hoping we were WAY past this. It's just another thing that slowly one piece at a time drives people away.

    Something being too hard to do solo unless you are really powerful? Fine.

    Having mechanics that make a group required? I guess also fine, but not all that fun.

    I have been having fun going around doing WBs and Public Dungeons solo just to see how far I have come since I first started. I am not up to trying group dungeons solo yet, nor some of the other content that doesn't force a group, but is meant for a group. But, it is still fun to test myself on it.

    But, having a mechanic that locks me out of trying it solo makes that particular dungeon no fun to me at least.

    I did that a while back, tried to solo everything I could. Some could not be done due to barriers such as this. Trials I cannot solo due to actually just being too tough(I'm sure someone has). That's on me if I want to spend my time trying it. To be locked out right at the beginning though? Just seems like when these things are designed does not someone ask the question why have this barrier? To keep solo people out? Then the follow up question, WHY???? And as stated WHO does it hurt if I want to try it myself. Those whose groups I might have joined instead? If I want to join a group I will and have in those very same dungeons. If they do not want them to be soloed then make the dungeon TOUGH enough that I just can't or at the very least it's almost impossible. It's the implementation of decisions that do not even take "is this going to be fun for the players" that is slowly draining this game of long term players and not enough new people are staying to make up the difference.

    Well i'm no fan of end game players dictating what all game design content is permissible in game. There's lots in this game that doesn't suit me and i don't see where people or devs accommodate my concerns all so much. I was in a dungeon recently and someone wanted to report me b/c i told them i couldnt see to play b/c of chakram shields blocking my view. Since i couldnt see i ddint play but tagged along the way through as it cleared out. I made no demands jusat reported i couldnt see to play. One wonders what i'd be reported for? For not playing according to that one player's value system? If something doesn't suit me i chose not to engage it and move on.

    It's so hard to find four people to do the quest, listen to the dialogue, and read the books. I either solo or duo the dungeons for the quest content.

    They have to already know that people aren't experiencing the quest in full groups.

    If you're solo, the dungeon should detect that and adjust it so that you only need one person for the plate. I understand having group mechanics in dungeons, but if they want to use them to tell stories, they should consider solo and duo players.

    Someone mentioned a mechanic requiring 4 people. What does it block you from to not have 4 people? For example, is it a main boss, a sideboss, a hallway later on, etc.

    How about designing "group" content that actually requires group due to it difficulty and mechanics and notforcing players to group just to push on pressure plates..... This is literally bad game design. This game literally made every aspec of gameplay dumbdown and diluted yet some how creates arbitrary road blocks like that. What happend to freedom of gameplay that ZoS was so proud of? Because when more skilled players wanted harder group content people shouted "You can solo if you want a challange". And here we have someone that wants to do what they were told is a way of gameplay for them but can't and is told that they're in wrong for wanting that. ESO community gaslighting 101.

    I remember some time ago about somebody asking about pressure plates on purpose, maybe their parents didn't give them enough love and they want at any cost that a dungeon must be run by multiple people, this way they'll have somebody to talk to, and cannot grasp the concept of wanting a fun challenge since the game is too damn easy.

    Yesterday I played it...and here I am unsubscribed and crying about buying all that crowns at the last discount.
    That dungeon is pathetic, is everything that the game should avoid being...we went from bosses with 200 invincibility phases to pressure plates AND invincibility phases.

    This isn't fun anymore...of course the bosses hit like a truck because they made a class that overpowers the rest 10 to 1 and now they feel like it's normal to be super powerful.

    Results of my NORMAL dungeon yesterday?
    I soloed the first boss since the party died.

    I couldn't get a secret because one party member left their brain in the toilet and flushed it by mistake so they couldn't get to the right point of the map.

    Soloed the second boss.

    Almost soloed the third boss but they decided that it needs to throw the same damage of 10 trial bosses together.

    Soloed the final boss.

    Why soloed?
    'cause the random party I got wasn't capable of sustaining anything and died regularly even at normal trash packs.

    So yeah, thank you, you beautiful geniuses that obviously never play this game, the normal random dungeon has officially become a chore.
