Which ones are time consuming? Even defeating 40 enemies is quick if you stop an incursion.

Heists require Thieves Guild rank 3 which I only have on one account, getting a particular type of master Writ as well as the required recipe took a looong time, and I've only unlocked the first Scribed Skill "Magical Soul" which takes a looong time to kill 40 enemies with.

Alchemy writs don't have recipes, so have no idea what recipe you had to track down. If you've done the scribing questline, then you also have soulburst. Even still, wield soul inside orcrest where there's an area with a bunch of amorphous foes, and it would still take you no time at all.

1 alchemy master writ, and about 15 minutes in Orcrest will knock out 3 of those endeavors jiffy spiffy.

Only if you already have an alchemy master writ and an offensive scibed skill in the first place.

On My EU account I was done in about half an hour, most of which was spend on waiting for blobs to respawn in the overcrowded Tsofeer Cavern, and doing 2 delve quest along the way.

On my much newer NA account it took significantly longer: about 4 hours.

I had no alchemy master writs left there, just 2 provisioning ones; 1 for Senche-Tiger Single Malt and one for Orzorga's Smoked Bear Haunch. My fledgling master crafter had neither recipe. First I tried to buy the one for Malt. I checked TTC and visited all vendors in order of listed price. Turned out all recipes were gone, except the one offered for 95.000 gold, for which I suggested the seller to find a creative storage space cause I was not going to take it of his hands for that kind of money.

So on to the Bear Haunch. I knew I had to do 4 quests to get it. So I had a little d-tour to let my crafter make and equip an offensive scribed skill to work on the 40 enemies endeavour along the way. (Being a healer, he had none yet.) After that, I did the 4 quest for Orzorga. No difficulties, just time consuming since I did not know a single wayshrine in Wrothgar yet. Besides I got hit with a particularly sticky stuck-in-combat-bug, so even when I discovered one, I had to wait at least a minute before I could use it, every single time.

Then the crafting of the meal. I had 3 perfect roe’s more then enough if you have the Chef passive all levelled. I hadn’t. So before I could craft the meals, I had to do 2 public dungeon group events and collect some skyshards. I already had a mages guild quest in Rulanyil’s fall, so I went there first. Big mistake, I also knew very few wayshrines in Greenshade and cross-country riding there is a pain in the ass with all the random walls and crevasses. At least, when I finally got there, I got the 40 enemies endeavor done while collecting the shard and doing the group event.

I chose Orcrest as the next dungeon, because it contains amorphous foes. Fought my way to the sewers to find all of them dead. Waited for respawn, started killing the 4 or 5 on the left. Someone else came in, killed all the ones on the right. We both waited for respawn again. Somehow took another 10 to 12 dead blobs to count as 5 Amorphous Foes defeated, but finally, that’s another endeavor done.

Then I just had to fight my way all the way to the other end of Orcrest, defeat the groupboss, get the skyshard, level up my Chef passive, get my ass to a cooking fire, and deliver the package to Rolis Hlaalu.

I was planning to work on a new character today, my first Sorcerer on NA, but I think instead I’ll have lunch and a shower now, and maybe go for a walk.

Alchemy writs are cheap on the traders. If you're already combing the traders for a recipe, just get an alchemy writ instead. Probably cheaper anyway.

As for an offensive scribe skill.. you get one free just for completing the first quest in the scribing questline (and a second one when you complete it).

I always go to Murkmire for the amorphous foes. Not only do voriplasms count, but so do the voriplasmic corpses.

One thing they need to fix is that mirrorplasms don't count, for some reason.

And all those prerequisites take time. It seems hard for some people to remember back when they first started, way before they maxxed out all their skills how long and difficult the game used to be. And understand how that's still the case for others.

I guess some of them are time-consuming if you haven't acquired the skills. I just skip ones I can't do or aren't interested in, even if it keeps me from getting three for the day. There'll be more tomorrow and the next...

I've you're levelled up decently, taking a town actually isn't that hard. I suck at PVP and I've done it. Join a low-population server to decrease the likelihood of being interrupted by an enemy. You only have to take the outer flags.

Provisioning recipes are re-usable for ever once you know them. There's only a limited set you have to know for master writs. I don't mind buying some, if it's for a reasonable price. Buying writs is throwing money away, I'll get plenty of them once the character is properly leveled.

Besides, Solvent Proficiency, the last crafting skill my crafter still has to level, is now on 6/8 points. The endeavor system doesn't recognize enchantment master writs as consumables, so it had to be provisioning of go hunting for 2 extra skillpoints all the same.

And yes, my crafter/healer has Wield Soul, but in the form of Warding Soul; not an offensive skill. I have other characters who already had offensive scribes skills, but as the crafter had to get extra skillpoints for the writ anyway it wouldn't have saved time to have those do the 40-foes-killing.

I was only able to do one on each of my two accounts on both servers today. It's no good people just assuming that we all have maxed out characters on everything, some of us don't. Similarly, why would a non-PvPer even be tempted to go to Cyrodiil or run a BG just to get 10 or 15 seals? I did the 5 amorphous foes today and left the rest.

Personally that isn't a problem to me, I just do the ones that appeal to me or fit my skills and playstyle and am not bothered about missing out on some seals from the others - like yesterday, when despite running round my usual haunt the RNG split between ore and jewelry nodes plus the number of nodes between spawns simply meant it wasn't worth completing the gathering of 5 jewelry drops for just 10 seals.

If the endeavour take multiple hours you should take that as an offer to take the day off.
The endeavours consume zero time if you just skip them.
Seals of endeavour arenot worth that much, you need ridiculous number to buy anything from crown store. If you need 45 minutes to get 15 seals you need 400 hours to get a crownmount costing 8000 seals.

1 heist, 5 amorphous foes, and 40 kills with scribed ability took me about 10 minutes lol

amorphous foes just go to murkmire, any voriplasm or the voriplasmic skeletons count

40 kills with scribed ability counts on 1 hp critters, i just killed 40 monkeys are the shrine in auridon with a single target scribed skill, or if you wanted even faster you can use elemental explosion in a public dungeon

1 heist or 1 consumable master writ is also easy
    plays PC/NA

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

Some days some endeavors don't appeal to me. I skip them. Nothing bad has ever happened. I found today's to be fairly quick though. I suppose not every endeavor every day can be "emote two times". This is of course just my opinion, but they aren't worth stressing over. Hope tomorrow is a better day.

For the kill with scribed skills normally you don't need to get the KB just tag things with a scribed skill.

Generally i'll use 'pull' on wield soul then just beam down the stack on arc - 40 enemies takes about 5m in any grind spot.

No-one said they expected anything bad to happen.

To be clear: I'm not stressing. I m not asking for help, or crying havoc. It is my day off from work, I wanted to spend it playing ESO. I just ended up playing ESO a bit differently than I planned.

I was saying that completing the endeavors today took me a lot longer on my new account, with relatively new characters, then on my older one with level CP 2000-and-something ones. Agreeing with OP that having 3 out of 5 endeavors requiring previous quest completion and/or skill leveling is a bit of an unfortunate combination for starting players/accounts, that's all.

I realize I can choose to not do the endeavors. That doesn't mean I'm in the wrong for choosing to do them, either. I want those seals, I'm very near getting the pefect mount for my next tank-to be. (a 3600-seals one, luckily I find most 8000-ones butt-ugly)

The longest it has ever taken me to do 3 endeavours was 3.5 hours. It was the day where we had to loot 3 thieves' troves. People kept posting helpful tips on here where to find them, but there were never any spawned when I got there. It was so frustrating! :s

Luckily, one of the weekly endeavours that week was to loot five thieves' troves. So I just stationed 3 alts at the places I'd been lucky the day before and kept checking in on them until the troves spawned. It took me only another half hour (doing other things all the while) to complete the weekly.
It's a tradition, or an old charter, or something...

You store some up some master writs for this.
