A bit of a late heads-up but here's a big tip about the crafting Golden Pursuit. Time/Coin saver!

I meant to post this way earlier, but I kept forgetting to do so. The current Golden Pursuit will give you 10 writ vouchers if you complete this task: Deconstruct or Research 200 Pieces of Equipment. Now, many people will get this done just playing the game in the background. That can take a while. Others may decide to just craft 200 pieces of equipment and break it down. That's quite costly with materials but fast enough. But, there's a third option. You can also just grab free gear in a few minutes of effort and be done with it.

You see, all over Tamriel there are weapon and armor racks lying around to give ambiance. These pieces of gear lying around are instanced to you. This means if you pick it up, others will still see it on their screen. And it also means that you don't have to compete with others for it. There are a couple of places where there is a lot of it due to the war effort.

Here's how to get it done very fast.

Coldharbor

Hit up the tents around the crafting tables (blacksmith, woodworking, etc). They have a lot of gear just lying on them.

Go to the writ turn in area and there's some more.

Next hit up the guild traders.

A little ways from there is a house with a stable. It has some gear in and outside the house.

Finally, hit up the fighter's guild.

Next, queue up for Imperial City. Do not worry. You will NOT have to PVP and are 100% safe.

In the homebase, you'll notice there a lot of armor and weapon racks lying around. Loot them. There's a lot of gear in this base.

If for some reason, you're still not finished, you can then exit IC. It will put you back in Coldharbor. But the tables and gear here will be refreshed. You can finish up the pursuit.

You can just deconstruct loot you get playing the game over time, I say any gear from newer zones is worth deconstruct because the style stones, the white or green from standard race style stones I sell.
Or you can craft lvl 1 jewelry or cp 150 runestones with ta.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I have been selling ornate gear I get from doing the daily writs. It dawn on me I could decon that stuff for the golden stuff. So don't forget that is another source of gear to decon.

I don't think the gear lying around is instanced. If it was, it would always be there until you take it. It isn't.

They're instanced. They act just like containers in that they spawn with a bit of a random element behind them. Sometimes they're there, sometimes they're not (just like containers are sometimes empty, sometimes not), and the stats/quality vary. They'll reset each time you zone as well.

I think it would take longer to go around to gather enough things from all the racks.
If you're someone that has been playing a while, you probably have a ton of lower level mats you don't use anyway.
These goldens literally were the fastest I've ever completed them just by making the x things in all the categories that asked you to make things and then deconning them. Plus the 10 dailys then just made whatever extra things I needed and was done.

This task was one of the first tasks I completed at day 1, while not even grinding to complete anything fast (I completed the last task today since I wasn‘t in a hurry).
Just play the game and decon the stuff you get.

You can just craft and decon gear. L1 stuff takes 2 pieces of materials. If you go for rings, you don't even need a style stone, just 2 bits of pewter.
