Where do the crafting stations show up?

I finished the golden pursuits today, but I can't find the crafting stations. They aren't in my services for any house. I tried restarting the game but that didn't help. It clearly says I archived the capstone, but no rewards?

You should have them in the inventory of the character that you were on when you ticked the capstone.
Attunable Crafting Stations are not categorized as furnishings, and thus are not able to be placed in a house or stored in the Furnishing Vault, UNTIL you attune them to a set.

They'll be in the inventory of the character who claimed them. Once you've decided what set you want to attune them to, go to the set in the wild (not in a guild house) and interact with every table to turn them into crafting tables attuned to that set.
Then they'll be in services tab when you go to place them in a house.

They're not a furnishing until you do this.

I keep my unattuned stations in one of my storage containers.

So do I, now. (You can also put them in your bank.)
But it caused me some confusion when the Furnishing Vault first dropped, when I couldn't put unattuned stations in there.
Thankfully, I then found a set I wanted, and discovered after I attuned them that they were then categorized as furnishings and were referenced as such in the Services tab and could be stored just like other furnishings in the Vault.

Unattuned the stations stack in inventory. I wonder if they become unique items once attuned so they take up more inventory space.

Of course these days, folks are feeding tuned stations to their master stations so they should go poof as far as inventory is concerned.

Reading up on attunable crafting stations, as I understand it you can only attune them to a single set once, and then you're stuck with that.

Of what use it that, and how on earth do you make that choice? Is there any set in the game so important that an individual player would want to re-craft items from it again and again and again?

Or, in practice, do most people just attune it to whatever random set they first come across, and only really use it as a normal, generic crafting station? (Just to check -- I assume that, once-attuned, they do indeed also work as generic crafting stations?)

At one time there were far fewer craftable sets, so it was conceivable that you could attune all of them and have them all available in your house or guild hall. As time wore on and more sets were introduced it simply became a logistical and organizational nightmare to have hundreds of attunable tables scattered throughout. At which time Grand Master tables were introduced into which all of those attuned tables could be fed.

So to answer the question, you attune them to whatever set you think you'll need. If you need more sets, you have to attune additional tables. Running out of space in your home? Acquire the GM tables and consolidate them.

And yes, they also function as normal crafting tables.

Thanks for the clarification. Having no thought in sight to what I'd need out of the huge number there are, it sounds like it's the randomly-first-one-I-run-into route for me. Having generic crafting stations in one of my homes sounds more than useful enough.

It makes sense to have them in your house(s) if you do a lot of master writs. I do, so I first chose to attune to the stations in PvP areas. Once I had those in my houses, I started attuning to the ones that are farther from wayshrines or in the areas where I just do not like running to.

Look at the build sites and see what is reccomended for crafted sets for builds. Like Julianos for Magic or Hundings Rage for Stamina or Orders Wrath for Oakensoul builds.

Personally I'm doing them in alphabetical order. Mainly for organizational purposes, as when I pick up a master writ I'll know immediately whether it can be done in my own home without having to travel there to look. There's no right way or wrong way though. Just whatever makes sense to you. :)

Order’s Wrath is a very good all-rounder set in general when you’re not at crit damage cap (overland, solo, dungeons, even unoptimized trials — it was also popular in some PvP comps for damage, unsure if it still is). Lots of uses beyond Oakensoul! :)

I keep a CP 160 training set of OW and Heartland Conqueror to level skills/skill lines as needed, since I’m usually doing that solo or in a group of two.

Decision paralysis has been very real for me with these stations, especially since sets get changed and new ones get introduced over time. But waiting for years (since I got my first set with the Elsweyr event rewards, I want to say) hasn’t made the choice easier, and having access to all the sets from several friends/guild houses means there really isn’t a way to go wrong and I should probably bite the bullet.
