August 7 Twitch Drops

Just bringing up awareness that Twitch drops seem to be a little off today.

Some people are getting a progress bar, but no progress. Others (myself included) are getting no progress bar at all.

I have relinked my Twitch connection, refreshed, restarted, used multiple browsers, and multiple streamers to no avail.

Anyone else running into this?

Remember that the drops for the QuakeCon pet are only for specific streamers fundraising for DallasPetsAlive. It is not for all StreamTeam members.

I should have mentioned it in my first post, but the different streamers have all been from the list :P

Twitch isn't loading for me at all so maybe they are having an issue

Same issue as OP for me.

1- Am definitely watching participating charity streamer (confirmed on the link page showing who is doing them, plus JHartEllis stream itself says he's doing it)

2- Get zero progress bar and actual progress status - e.g. no progress shown, no credit for time watched on the inventory drops page.
- I can see the drop campaign is live, same as above posted image. Said it started Aug 7 at 7am and runs till Sun Aug 10. But unlike all other twitch drops I've watched, I don't see a progress bar or status of time watched on the Drops & Rewards page.

Twitch seems bugged at the moment, at least for some ppl like myself.

p.s. to be fair, perhaps there is some typo or mistake by Twitch on dates. The event page does say it does not start until Aug 8 *https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/news/post/68543) - AND - I just switched to skinnycheeks stream to test/watch and he just said on the stream that his quake con charity stream will be tomorrow.

Same as above. Linked account, never had a problem with twitch drops for eso before, confirming the stream is eligible, etc. I actually tried two different streams and both had the banner saying drops were on the stream but I cannot get a progress bar. Another friend of mine is getting progress but only about half of his actual watchtime. Something's definitely going on.

Hey all, we're looking into this. Everything appears to be set up correctly on our end and they should have turned on at 10am Eastern Time today (August 7) for all streamers participating in the DPA campaign, but we're doing some testing. In the meantime, try unlinking and relinking and see if that helps at all?

After several hours beyond the original 2, the progress has shown up for me, albeit way behind. It seems like others are still not having it pop up yet. I had relinked several times already, as well.

Thanks @Munkfist! We've tried a few things on our end, and we're seeing the same thing as all of you. We've confirmed everything is configured correctly on our side, and we see the campaign in the All Campaigns tab in Twitch. For now, we'd recommend trying again in a little bit or tomorrow morning. (We'll be checking in the morning as well.)

Additional update on my end:
I am now getting a progress bar of 10% of the drops but it says it's being awarded by the first channel I tried to watch while I am actively watching the third one I've tried. It seems twitch is having some sort of delay in awarding progress but it seems to be still tracking it internally so thankfully those who have watched 2 hours or more will have it catch up for us over time. Actually, while I was typing this it moved to the second channel name and 13% progress so it is awarding very delayed apparently.

Having the same issue. I hope we're able to put in a ticket if we have continuing trouble, but there's still time for it to be resolved, whatever it is. Looks like the team is on it.

Not sure what got mine working, but am now seeing progress bar, but as others noted, very much behind my actual watch time.

e.g. have watched over 2 hours, but only credited with ~66% of that.

I do know how you can positively tell if the tracking is working however. I noticed when my time was -not- being tracked, the little emoji award thing at bottom of stream chat was not working either.
e.g. not sure official name, but that emoji button you touch from time to time to get emoji credits.

^^ when the stream tracking was not working for me, neither was the emoji credit time. Soon as that emoji thing started working, I saw the progress bar tracker appear for first time, and actually credit some watch time (albeit behind actual watch time as noted)

As mentioned above, Twitch Drops will be enabled during both QuakeCon 2025 livestreams as well as any streamer fundraising for Dallas Pets Alive between August 7 to August 10, so don’t forget to link your accounts. Watch either stream for an hour and you’ll receive an Ouroboros Crate. Keep watching for an additional hour, and you’ll also receive the Blueblood Frog Hound Pup pet!

can confirm the issues.
i have multiple accounts.
got both (Crate and Doggie) drops, but the problem is it took about 6 hours. JHartEllis was streaming for about 5 and a half hours - my progress was often freezing, regardless of what browser i attempted to use: Chrome or MS Edge. had to close browser to reconnect when the progress was freezing

now when i tried on the second account: Okuy is streaming, browser displays drop banner, but there is no ESO Campaign under "In progress", only Batllefield 8 Open Beta.

something is VERY wrong with drops, and i am not alone having issues with drops.
Please, make this fixed.

After 5 hours and I am still stuck at 96% completion of 1 hour reward (Ouroboros Crown Crate). This is starting to get ridiculous.

Do we need send in a report to CS to get this fixed or get any compensation (as in getting these two items even when Twitch will show 96% and 48% and not move to completion)?

Make sure that you haven't muted video stream (you can mute it from browser instead if you need to have stream silent while doing something else) and use Twitch Chat as to prevent getting detected as not active while watching. I suppose Twitch have changed their code to force viewers to be active during stream to get drops.

I've been having this issue all night. Tried on PC, then on my phone. I go to the drops, select participating streamers, watch them unmuted. The pup was stuck at 1% for almost an hour, then at 8%, then I jumped to 51% and got the crate. It was stuck for an hour or so and then I turned it off and it progressed to 62% while I wasn't watching anything. Now it's stuck at 62% and not moving. Chatting hasn't helped either.

I doubt it's on Twitch's end because I got my Overwatch skins just fine not long ago.

Can confirm the pet drop was stuck on 73% all evening yesterday but was there to be claimed this morning at 8.00 a.m. BST.

Definitely not working, watching someone listed on the list above and not getting any progress at all.

Yesterday (August 7th): it didn't work properly.
I tried several browsers (Chrome, Firefox), disabled extensions, and left the browser running in the foreground with sound and chat visible.
It took about 15 minutes for progress to appear in the Twitch inventory, but it remained stuck at 18% in the Crown crate.
In one of the streams, a message was pinned in the chat stating that Twitch was experiencing "performance issues due to many active drops, but they are working."

Today (August 8th): No problems.
The Twitch window was in the background and muted. The progress counted and matched the watch time. The drops were successfully redeemed.

Edit: and I didn't have to relink the accounts

Working, but it took in total more then 3 hours.

Mine didn't seem to be showing progress properly last night while I watched, but this morning it seemed to be working again and I got the crate then the pup soon after.

The only way I could see progress was clicking on my user menu above chat on the website and the Drops and Rewards section in that seemed to be accurate.

Hey all, sorry for the delay. We did test this out again this morning and everything seems to be working again. I personally confirmed and was able to claim both rewards. You can watch, qualify, and claim through Sunday, August 10 at 9:59 PM EDT.
