Any plans for transmute crystals?

Recently (relatively speaking), ESO added skill styles that can be purchased with undaunted keys. As a completionist who pledges often, has all the monster shoulders stickered, and has a surplus of keys, I loved having something new and shiny to spend that currency on (see also: the rotating monster shoulder style pages). Now, not everyone is running around with hundreds of extra keys, and that's OK. It's just nice that the game acknowledges and accommodates those who *do* have surplus currency and provides a productive outlet on which to spend them.

---

In contrast, transmute crystals are, in my opinion, in need of some attention. I understand that many players are perpetually running out of them, so this is by no means a universal problem -- but, for every one player running low on transmutes, I'd wager there are five more who have multiple 'mule' characters set aside expressly for storing uncracked transmute geodes or reconstructed gear as decon/transmute fodder for later use.

Now, I'm aware there are a couple factors to call out here, and that crystals can be a polarizing topic:
- Unlike undaunted keys, they're capped
- The cap is linked to an ESO+ benefit, which makes uncapping them nontrivial

But, xmutes being capped is not the point of this thread. Instead, what I'm asking is: can we please have more things to spend transmute crystals on?

Whether it's more skill styles, emotes, cosmetics, furnishings -- whatever, yes, please! Any veteran dungeoneer/raider who does more than log in 2x/wk for core and/or PvPs at anything resembling a regular cadence is rolling in thousands of bonus stored transmutes, especially since the Rewards for the Worthy were changed to awarding a 25'er per day. I've already got every meta set for every role for every character reconned, with no shared gear and often multiple PvP setups on each character. I'm at the point where the inventory strain is real, and I'm feeling punished instead of rewarded by a currency that I can only imagine is intended to be a dopamine hit.

(And yeah, I'm aware you can decon/recon to chase potent nirncrux, but IMO a superior reward loop is merited here.)

Again, I understand that not everyone is in this situation: I have plenty of friends who don't play as much, or who simply don't gravitate towards transmute-heavy activities, and who are constantly strapped for stones. But please, ZoS: consider giving the rest of us some shiny things to spend those crystals on. :)

Thanks!

You can spend them on Nirncrux. :)

Well, you can spend 50 transmutes per attempt at nirncrux. The success rate is pretty good on a full skillpoint crafter.

You simply transmute something into nirn trait and deconstruct it afterwards.

I agree, I think we need another way to spend them since there's a cap

Craft random weapons with any cheapo trait, transmute them to nirnhoned, and then deconstruct them (with a crafter that has adequate research, skill points in the passives, and CP perk) for possible nirncrux drops.

I clipped an example for a visual guide a while back..

ive got 2 chars with 160 bank space pretty much full of the 50 geodes. im up to about 12000 i think.

its getting silly now. surely its got to be easier just to have a count of crystals.

    also. they should be tradeable

this has been an issue since 6 months after releasing them on CAP , its always been odd to be CAPPED on amount of an currency you can have and with storage already being low , adding to it with an pouch holding an currency your CAPPED OUT on is really hard to understand the thought for even CAPPING it to begin with

The other thing to flag here is how stable the gear meta has been, when things changed more regularly I was forever complaining about not having enough transmutes, now that I have my tank, DD and healer sets, I've not really had a need to revisit these setups in probably a couple of years (from a gear setup perspective).

In terms of sets I would say healers need some attention as there has not really been a new (or updated to be a must have) sets for a long time. And please don't think that more sets that give more resources or bigger heals is what is needed, we need sets that allow us to buff the group or debuff enemies.

Just a 'PSA', the weapons don't need a trait to be transmuted.

Not a big deal, most of us have ludicrous amounts of trait materials around and most of them have no resale value, I was just somewhat amused by the fact that 'in-game logic' deems 'no trait' as a trait.

I've got my 1K crystals and am destroying the 25-100 crystals I'm getting per day out of Battlegrounds. Having something else to spend them on would be great but making them sellable to a merchant for gold would be nice also, say 100 gold per crystal. Then, for those of us not in need of a huge stash of crystals we could still get rewarded with something other than having to manage our inventory.
