There should have been a cap of 10 levels per day?

After level 10, should there have been a cap on how many times you could level up per day? Sure, six days later we would have a bunch of 50's still, but its kinda nuts atm, you have people that have every class at 50, and the game only just officially launched....

Lets be real here, even the most vigorous of quest racers are still only around level 30 atm, which is about right when you think about it...

It really is a slap in the face to people who wanted a fighting chance without having participated in the PTS. Oh well, let bygons be bygons.

No, Im a firm believer of allowing people to play how they want (with in rthe rules of course). Some people have more time to play than others. This is a game not a race.

So, in playing how they want, you mean by exploiting knowledge of exploits found in beta (which are now apparently game mechanics) to gain a strong advantage over others, then i cant really agree on your perspective.

Sure i agree with "grind if you want" "Pve if you want" "pvp if you want"

But to actually go and bypass everyone elses progress by doing what the current lvl 50's did?

People should be allowed to play as they want. Capping everyone with a daily level cap would not be right. I personally hate any game that has any sort of daily cap. With my life I often cannot play each day and then sometimes I can do an all day event hitting daily caps on things drives me nuts. Daily caps often punish people that do not log in daily or make it so you feel you are "forced" to play daily. I am only level 12 and I have played a little each day. The pace I am going is mine and mine alone. I do not care that other people hit level 50 in a few hours just as long as they did not do it by an exploit or some other way against the rules. Just my thoughts and personal opinion.

No, it does impact my gameplay.

Its become a subtle requirement to be 50 in pvp already to be taken seriously, people at level 50 now will be able to clear advanced content before me and therfore deflate the heck outa the rarity of anything there.

Yes, it would have still effected me, but not the way it does now, had there been, say, a level cap per day.

One can only learn so much within a day right? Not like its lorebreaking or anything, no hero in Elder Scroll became a legend, full fledged god overnight.

Let it go, people on a pts server for a year before a game goes live will always have an advantage when it comes to leveling and game knowledge, hell I did this in Secret World and was max level before early access ended.

They've already killed dungeon and pvp xp since people were complaining others with more time to play used these avenues to get to max level quick which in turn = no one want to run dungeons atm. These xp issues need to be fixed, I should not be forced to just quest to get xp, tired of the WOW quest train, other avenues of xp need to be viable when you need a break from questing.

Let me educate you, it WAS an exploit, they nerfed pretty much everything to the ground in beta that allowed you to get to 50 in a few hours but missed just this one thing.

They cant morally roll people back now since its not technically THEIR fault. They are hesitant to fix the exploit since it would be unfair to anyone ELSE who wants to take advantage of a quick 50.

    Take off the goggles.

I hit 50 in less than 50 hours /played solely by running around in circles killing mobs in the open world (solo)

    What did I exploit?

50 hours? First off what you just said adds nothing to the discussion, second, people are getting to 50 in 12-20 hours, less than half your time.

Sounds like you should of took a few weeks off from real life if you wanted to be competitive getting to max level asap.

Btw they weren't exploits, you can still aoe grind in the open world and level faster in a group then doing quest.

As someone who is still level 16 and in no hurry... I don't see the problem. Some people are power gamers, putting artificial limits on their ability to play hurts no one but the players who have more free time.

I just don't follow the logic of restricting someone from the game because they are quicker at leveling.

Already vr3, hit 50 in 30 hrs played. Quest + grinding, and no pvp involved. Anyone can do it but you have to have some skill to grind and do the quests that well.

As far as limiting people's play times, what, you want to make ESO into China? Silliest idea I have seen in awhile and I have seen many.

And I wasn't even pushing the speed, it's doable in 20 to 25 hrs if you do. I took my sweet time... Trade skills all in the 30s except provisioning I am just starting on,.

How does it punish them exactly? Unless you run around killing groups of mobs in a circuit your not gona gain more than about 10 levels per day unless YOU REALLY TRY, and if you actually managed to get 10 levels in a day you could still go pvp, search for skyshards, gather mats, ect.

Putting a level cap on is just imposing your idea of how to play on others. I personally prefer RP in MMORPG's. Do I get to ask that they ban anybody who doesn't do that? There are not enough level 50 people in the game yet that it would affect PvP, and an even lower ratio with the influx of people just starting. I don't buy the argument that there are so many level 50 folks now in that portion of the game that it has broken the game. And as for others doing things before you, well, that is just ego talking. Does it matter? Don't worry about the stuff in those dungeons yet. The economy in this game hasn't even had time to take shape. Plus, as I said before, there are a ton more low level folks than level 50. Those at the top are not really in a position yet to hurt the game. It takes time for it all to shake out.

You should also realize that there are those who only live to race to the level cap. It happens with every new MMO release (and expansion). A few people prefer to get to the end as fast as they can and generally manage to do it faster than you would expect. You are effectively saying they aren't allowed to play the game the way they want. It will take me a few months to get to level 50 because I enjoy the journey. I don't have the right to deny the destination to those who prefer it.

So you feel the current system was broken and that a daily level cap would fix it.

So what do you say to people that cannot play long enough each day to gain 10 levels but might be able to play all day long a few days a week where now they could gain as many levels as possible but due to your proposed system are stuck at only 10 while others that can play as much as they want each day are 50? In both cases people will make it to 50 before someone else and have the "advantage."

People knew after day 1 the quick way to get to 50. So if getting there is so important to you why not just repeat the steps known yourself?
