Since I don't see an announcement for it anywhere: go in-game, open the Crown Store, click ESO Plus, and you can claim the free trial from this page that is ongoing until August 12th.

Additional Notes:
- After activating from Crown Store, log-out to Character Select and log-in again to enable and auto-stow all mats from Inventory and Bank into Craft Bag. Alternatively simply switch zones for the same effect (with whichever edge case for Zone X switching into Zone Y failing).
- None of any Companions can be accessed from ESO Plus free trial. If you visit their starter quest spots, there will be no Companion NPC there to talk to. Consider purchasing the relevant Chapter or Plus for access.
- DLC dungeons may be accessed via this ESO Plus Free Trial (including the newest ones, Lep Seclusa in Hews Bane, and Exiled Redoubt in West Weald).
