Snared during Ansuul fight before the maze spawns

There's been a handful of times that I get snared while the maze is spawning in. It's like I'm hitting one of the green blobs before they show up and I can't get through the maze. Here's another clip of it happening. It looks like there's a blob explosion right when the wrack starts. I have no chance of making it through maze.

I never take damage or a debuff from toxic impression in that fight. I don't have bracing anchor or toggle walk.
