Advice for my subclass DPS

So I'm not usually into DPS role in dungeons. I primarily pug tank.
But I want to make my Kahjit necromancer into a DPS for world bosses and casual pug dungeons. Would even love to kill a harrowstorm by myself.

I've kept the Gravelord skill line and added Arcanist for Fatecarver and Aedric spear primarily for it's passives. I've got a preliminary plan, tell me what you think and any suggestions you might have.

Front bar: flail/Blast bones/exhausting Fatecarver/camo hunter/luminous shards/ pestilent colossus.

Back bar: inspired scholarship/unnerving boneyard/poison injection/channeled acceleration/vigor/Crescent Sweep

Set/ Deadly strike, orders wrath, Velidreth

You’ve actually got fairly close to an arguably meta build. I’d slot in solar barrage and radiant oppression instead of luminious shards and channeled acceleration. Put colossus on backbar and dawnbreaker on frontbar for the fighters guild passives. Swap vigor or poison injection for endless hail to proc your backbar enchant on cooldown. And swap out veildreth for velothi’s + one piece slimecraw.

Why the radiant oppression and solar barrage? The passives of that skill line didn't seem to be as good as Aedric spear. Poison injection is an execute like radiant oppression though.

The toss up between 2 skill lines I was having was between Aedric spear and Assassination.
You're right that luminous shards isn't that great, I only slotted it because I need an Aedric spear skill slotted to get the passives.
I would definitely use endless hair if I can find the bar slot. I keep a self heal like vigor because as somebody that only pugs I cannot rely on the healer. also might get a fake healer. Similar reason why I typically wear selfish sets and try to provide myself with all the buffs I need and not depend on anyone else to provide them.

I believe it’s more about the skills themselves: solar barrage buffs your other class skills and radiant oppression is a powerful execute that would also be affected by solar barrage and deadly, unlike poison injection. I know you need a self heal, but flail does heal you if you hit an enemy with it while vigor is only a HoT. Fatecarver also gives you a shield, so you’re generally pretty well protected.

I don't want Velothi's. I do not engage in the mythics garbage. I rather stab my eyes out than go through that tedious absolute hell. Until I can buy leads with Alliance points, forget it.
I can't do trials by myself. The DLC world bosses like the one in Apocrypha are impossible by yourself.
My PvP characters survives longer than this DPS necro subclass.
You need all points into health, major/minor resolve just to even be able to attempt to survive. Never mind having to stand there like an idiot using a channeled skill like Fatecarver.

Well, you didn’t say you didn’t want to use mythics in your original post :P. I’m not too sure as to what the best monster set is right now, maybe Selene. Or can do both bars arena weapons.

I dunno, my pure arcanist is fine with flail and beam. For overland, can use that cp that heals you when you do damage in the blue tree as it interacts with beam. Can also make a healer companion but they’re not always great at living.

Some mythics are a no bueno because of what you have to do to get the leads. Others aren't as bad because because the leads are in delves or a dungeon you can queue for. But Trials are impossible to get people for and world bosses in areas that are empty like Apocrypha are also impossible because there's nobody around to help.

My pure arcanist is a tank. I can taunt and bash interrupt bosses, pull trash with rune of displacement and provide massive shields for people, but she doesn't do much damage. I would need other people to damage the world bosses while I hold taunt.
Tanking is what I'm best at. But there's never any DPS around to help.
