The dungeons on TESO have therefore become fast food... what if, a solo dungeon?

I wanted to return to teso but when I see now how one must travel through a dungeon it’s incredibly indigestible...

I don’t understand this game, we sometimes have quite big dungeons, but we don’t even have time to explore or even time to open a chest, because the rusher runs towards the boss and we are wildly TP at the boss without having had time to open the chest, how can the developers... they propose such an unpleasant way of playing?

Even at the end of the dungeon there is a timer to make us eject, in that case why have such large dungeons even at the end of the race, we are not even given time to search or at least look for the chests?

In this case, I would still prefer to have the opportunity to do the dungeon solo if we can’t even attend it with dignity as a group!
  • DUNGEON SOLO IDEA
Following this, would it not be possible to allow the dungeons to be played solo?

The idea here would be to have a possibility to be able to play solo in dungeons, for example currently dungeons give 1 loot to each boss, this could now be the solo dungeon system, with a certain balancing to be done so that the solo dungeon content is correct to play in solo.

Following this to avoid abandoning the group dungeon content, from now on, the bosses of the entire dungeon could drop more than one loot, maybe 2 or 3 with the current method, or, still with this idea, they could drop 2 or 3 loots, either in the current dungeon loot system, either in a selection menu and then after selecting the chosen loot, display the loot as usual.

Knowing that sometimes certain dungeons are complicated to launch or depending on certain times played becomes complicated, I think this could be a very good thing for everyone or everyone could play as they wish.

    1. With a few exceptions, there are no group checks in dungeons, so nothing stops you from going in there by yourself or with a companion, or with a friend and your companions.

    2. There is a group finder in game where you can look for players that want to run the dungeon in the same way as you.

My guildies always wait for each other and we for sure look for chests when we are running dungeons together.

Solo challenging content that already exists:

    -Maelstrom Arena
    -Vateshran Hollows
-Infinite Archive (totally able to run solo, but can also be duoed)

EDIT: Dungeons in ESO are group content, and are designed for a party of 4 players, regardless of some being able to be cleared solo by skilled players. That is by design, and there are ways to get groups together if you do not have friends to run with you. Player Guilds exist, the Dungeon Queue, the Group Finder, etc.

There is plenty of single-player designed content you can run, a few of which I've mentioned here.

Craglorn doesn't require a group. I think they should just remove the "entering group area" pop-up. It's never stopped me. I think its leftover from when it used to be the endgame zone.

I literally have a group quest that's collecting dust in my quest log because I can't finish it solo. I don't want to abandon it because I've done a big chunk of it with the help from one of my guilds, but I'm too anxious to ask for help again to finally beat the quest. I want to explore the locations and listen to dialogues, but other people from the the group just want to speedrun it even when I told about my intentions beforehand. It's a stress.

On top of that, there are a bunch of group delves, repeatable quests and other places that I tried to do solo but got overwhelmed.

None of the quests require that to my knowledge. I think they used to a very long time ago but I'm pretty sure none of them have hard group requirements any longer. Which quest are you trying to do? Maybe I can offer some tips.

You can do them solo now. No need to activate plates at the same exact time. I've done the entire questline 100% solo.

Group finder is a tool, not a primary way of accessing dungeons. Ideally you need couple of players from the guild, friends etc. to go with you as it's an MMO. Dungeon finder throws you into experience with only one expectation - go to the end, most probably the most efficient and fast way possible as everyone has stuff to do be it in game or irl to attend instead of camping at every barrel.

I'll make the same suggestion I always do. Make your own group. Random dungeons have a big chance of being people that just want to get it over with. I join a random on a few characters to get transmutes but if I wanna do vet I post runs in the guild discord or if it's last minute I ask in guild chat. A solo dungeon is an arena. I wouldn't say no to another one of those but it feels like the infinite archive is supposed to be the answer to new arenas since it's always different, though it has its own problems.

But yeah, if you're looking to hear every line of dialogue, look for every chest and heavy sacks and read all the notes, you'll probably be disappointed in a random dungeon. Make your own group. You won't regret it.

Speedrunning dungeons is never going to not be a thing. The nature of the content is repetitive, and people don't want to repeatedly play the dungeon if it is going to be a slow drawn out grind.

If your goal is to immerse yourself and enjoy the quest (and I love doing this when new dungeons come out), your best bet is to find people who are like minded to run that content with you. Join a guild, use the groupfinder, or just LFG in your zone to see if you can't meet people who want to play the game the way you want to play it.

And what is sub 1000 CP exactly? I'm a bit over 400 CP, which technically makes me "sub 1000 CP", but there's a big difference between 400 and let's say 800-900.

Ah okay. I'm guessing you're at the part where you have to fight the mage? Do you have any companions? If so, I recommend putting your companion in tank gear and having it hold the mage. She summons atronachs. Kill those yourself and then return to damaging her.

I'm on PSNA or I'd have helped you but maybe someone in zone chat can help you with it. The Lost One is actually a lot for a newer player and is designed for a group at that level.

I complete all quests on my main which is a Magsorc. I have to admit though that I've never had any experience with playing only with the base game. So, I have no advice here.
