The Dungeon Dread Cellar have you forgotten the chests in this dungeon?

This is probably one of the most boring dungeons in the game, but have you forgotten the chests for this Dungeon? There are hardly any...

All dungeons except some of the side areas (or bdv with its secret buff) have 2 chests. If you’re looking for more than 2, that’s why. If you’re not finding the 2, it’s probably because of how many nooks there are.

I thought Dungeons with optional side bosses could have more than 2.
Was that information wrong?

No, you're right, but the extra chests are in those side boss areas and I don't think it applies to every dungeon that has side bosses (like I don't think it applies to Oathsworn Pit but they might be able to show up in the rooms in Dread Cellar where you have to touch the crystals to open the portal to the boss room?).

They can all be in the secret boss rooms so if you didnt do those that run you'd never see them.

I was also told there can be more than 2 chests, which ive had happen exactly once in an entire stickerbooks worth of runs. You'll always wonder.

There was a change in the side areas that DLC.

Dungeons from Flames of Ambition (Black Drake Villa) and earlier always had 2 chests on the outside, and a possible third if there were secret areas. Waking Flame (Dread Cellar) and later ones include the side area chests as the ones in the dungeons, meaning it is fully possible for the two in the dungeon to spawn in side areas only. IIRC, the dungeons starting the DLC afterwards (Ascending Tide) don't really have chest spawn points in the side areas, do it really is just the Waking Flame DLC that they're missable if you don't do the sides.
