new weapon idea/ new skill lines to go along with it.

this is something i still desperately want and it adds 2 things the community at large has wanted for a while while opening up the possibility for a lot of intersting new playstyles being adding a unarmed weapon that basically works like one handed weapons but instead they obviously count as a unique weapon different to them so that way the unarmed fantasy can be lived for those who want it but more than that while also making it so unarmed wouldnt be objectively terrible thanks to losing 2 gear slots with what i would want to see alongside such a release is a one handed skill line that is just any one handed weapon in the right hand and one unarmed weapon in the left again making playing a pure one handed build not a handy cap AND letting the players get something new as perhaps the passives like the sword and board and the two handed lines have different effects based on the weapon type, i think one handed could have that but with a special one for daggers so assassin players can go FULL assassin mode being that daggers get unique effects on all abilities and passives that adjust the to be similar in theming to the assassination skill line and heavily focusing you on executes, teleports, invis/stealth, and in general just being high burst damage.

    1H could just treat any mainhand 1-handed weapon like it was a 2H in terms of phantom set-bonus, either linked to a passive, or the game just assuming that you're using the 1-handed skill-line if any of the weapon slots are not occupied by either a shield or another 1-handed weapon. Showing the ghostly image of the 1H weapon in the opposite slot (with a hover-text explaining the game assumes you're using the 1H skill-line while this slot is not occupied). (Being able to choose left or right-handed which may also play into some passives)

    Passives could help mitigate the loss of the ~17.1% added weapon damage found on DW and the inherently larger WD/SP of 2H. Either through more raw WD/SP or amped critical chance (I'd prefer this one, melee martial version of how Bow increase Crit chance by a large margin).

    If you want invis, teleports, burst damage, you already have that: Nightblade, use it in conjunction.

    Unarmed

    Perhaps trickier, but maybe passives that increment the Two sets nearest completion by 1 would work (affecting a maximum of 2 sets), starting from jewelry and working "up the body". This could also mean that you could potentially have 2 Monster sets, a 5pc, and 3pc Jewelry. Or that specifically increments the sets on your ring and your hand by 1.

    The only annoyance is figuring out how to address the disconnect between having nothing in your hands but also introducing more WD/SP so you don't hit like a noodle when first trying out unarmed.

    Or maybe the first few enemies you need to kill with unarmed do in fact take a bit to chew through with your reduced damage before you start unlocking WD/SP passives for unarmed.
