Can we PLEASE have an actual YELLOW dye?!?

Dominion Fisher Yellow, the most "yellow" dye in the selection, isn't even yellow on most materials. It ends up being this disgusting fluorescent green on most cloth.

Divine Gold, Patrons Gold etc just look orange on certain materials. It is good for metals, but nothing else does it keep the yellow flavor on.

Dominion Yellow doesnt even look yellow on most cloth. Its even more bronzy on metals.

Sulfur Yellow is more greenish, just like Dominion Fisher yellow.

And then we have stuff that looks like pale tans such as 10 year anniversary ivory or the other one that is similar but slightly more bronze tan.

So my point is, most of the selection of yellows are terrible. They go from Bronze to green to green to bronze to tan. There are no actual yellows that stay yellow, like for House Mornard in Galen that is the yellow i want on cloth portions, not this nasty green yellow.

1uiii3tw69sm.png

I want a nice yellow that is consistently like this all the time.

CAN WE PLEASE have that? You have 40 reds, 10 black and whites, 40 purples, and plenty of greens. A good selection of blues, but a terrible selection of Yellow. What makes this worse is the selection of ORANGES are great, so what happened there exactly?

PS: My favorite color is yellow, and you are doing me a dirty.

I agree. I spent ages fishing and I was disappointed to find out the Fisher dye wasn't really yellow. I would like a yellow dye like the colour you have posted.

Exiled Goldenrod dyes yellow pretty cleanly on all materials. It dyes matte too, so it won't give metals the gleam.

Exiled Goldenrod is more tan in most motifs than actual yellow. There was an example image posted on here way back when.

That's a pretty low threshold for gaslighting, and a VERY high threshold for tan. I'm sorry it's not yellow enough for you, but it's the most yellow swatch I could think of among the examples you didn't list.

This just gets into a pedantic argument, but for the sake of words meaning something, tan definitely does not equate to yellow. Tan is tan. Yellow is yellow. When I say I want yellow, I do not mean tan.

Plus, I did mention it in the original post. In the same sentence as the anniversary ivory, I just couldn't remember the name exiled goldenrod for the life of me.

I have noticed that those yellows are more yellow, but the color combinations of those dye packs are all gross. I know for a fact it would take zero effort to add the house mornard yellow since it, well, already exists!

Me and others have asked for this multiple times. It's insane that after so many years, we are still missing dyes in some basic colours, especially ones that are matte with some saturation (but not eye bleeding high saturation).
The Exiled Goldenrod dye and 10-Year Anniversary Goldleaf Dye are the best yellows we have, but they are still not a bright neutral or cold yellow.
Goldleaf dye is the better of them and do look like a warm yellow on a lot of things:
    as928zE.png

Yellow is visible on npcs and artwork of motifs, but we don't have it.
Such as the Meridia worshippers in Western Skyrim. They got a warm yellow, which the Goldleaf dye might be close to:
    RHRRbyF.jpeg
    BLqDRaq.jpg
House Monard style's default colour on the cloth part is a bright neutral yellow.
    CDxFEzZ.png
The Hlaalu style in it's concept got a bright yellow too, which is a bit less saturated in game, but even then we still can't match the in game version.
    rK9QSlR.jpeg

We're also lacking in some nice matte and saturated browns, and oranges, that is less extreme than Anequina Sunrise.

I mean golden rod is a shade of yellow. It's not the yellow you want but it is a yellow

Anyway I agree with needing more yellow completely and have been saying it for years!

Seems like goldleaf only works like that on a few motifs, kind of annoying that it can't get consistent results which is really my main issue. Sometimes Divine gold will look orange-yellow but not the tone I'm looking for. I wish they would make a consistent matte base yellow like house mornard and it translate well to all materials. They kind of have a red that does something similar but I can't quite remember it's name.

Thanks for sharing the hlaalu images btw, I didn't remember that the art had shown the yellow be more vibrant. The hlaalu style in game definitely has a more bronzey toned yellow instead, unless im misremembering. I really just want that mornard yellow. It's the only thing we don't have in a sea of every other tone of the color wheel.

Those are yellow but not the yellow op is looking for that much is obvious. That Hlaalu one is nice, like saffron.
So many of the dyes look nice in theory but are all washed out looking when applied.

Id love a nice deep brown too for leather belts etc. Depending on the motif theres maybe 2 that look good. I usually just end up with either Coldharbor black or, I think its one of the crafting achievement colors thats technically a red.

Well, reposting this: more good yellows, more good oranges, more matte browns please! :) It is weird that there’s colors only possibly obtainable by wearing an un-dyed motif. Makes it hard to make multi-motif outfits. I think it’d be good to start there with what colors to give us: the house monard yellow and the warm brown the Storm Shark NPCs have.

I agree we need a House Mornard yellow. It is such a perfect yellow. Honestly that we don't have the perfect versions of the all the various basic colors of crayon sets is pretty lame.

Okay, I'm gonna repost this as well though. To continue the echo of less tan yellows, we would like the house mornard yellow. Here is a hue comparison between goldenrod and house mornard.

    jpryu4c6owjk.png
    gzrh4rj4u707.png

The issue I have mainly with the current selection of yellows like i said in my original post is also the golds arent great on most motifs cloth or leather. I tried gold leaf recently on some motifs too and that ends up being too pale/desaturated for my liking, and sometimes more brown than yellow(on the tsaesci motif, the cloth literally turns brown), albeit nicer than dominion fisher, still not to the mornard yellow we are all wanting in the thread.

What is odd is that patrons gold becomes yellowy on silk, but turns orange when applied to leather or cloth. This is exactly what happens with the other golds.

My suggestion, there is a red dye in the game that stays matte red throughout all material applications and motifs, with the same crayon tone, so i say give us mornard yellow exactly like that red dye, and it would be the same consistency.

I would like to look like a dandelion, daffodil, or coltsfoot for sure!

Thank you for making this thread! I am waiting for the House Mornard yellow since we got that style and don't understand why we didn't get it or anything comparable, just a good clean matte yellow.
There are a few other dyes we are imo missing as well, mostly because too many colors shine like crazy which doesn't work on cloth material for me, but this yellow is on the top of my list since years now.

I spent an hour trying to get the right color for Carnaval Celebrant and was very disappointed that there wasn't a true sunflower yellow. My dreams of a show with dancing flowers of different colors is crushed. (Also, it would be nice if you could provide a "syncronize" command that would allow all the dancers to start at exactly the same time.)
