Scribing at level 30 or 50?

Hello,

The in game help guide says to access Scribing you need to be level 30 or have unlocked CP:


When I tried to claim the Scribing quest in the Crown Store it says you have to be level 50:


I have a level 33 (no CP) on EU.

So, is it level 30 or 50?

On german forums there is someone (PC) although with CP700+ with the same issue. Possibly a bug is involved.

If you have access to West Weald, you could try to travel to Skingrad and starting the quest through the starting-letter, which should be hanging on the wall near the city wayshrine. Don't know if it's working, but would try.

As a last resort I would do that - I am trying to get the Golden Pursuit checked off which means claiming it from the Crown Store.

If you already had access to scribing (such as by purchase of Gold Road) before it was rolled into the base game, you cannot check off this pursuit, regardless of what the in-game message says. You can still grab the starter quest as a free item from the Crown Store, but that won't check off the pursuit.

If you hadn't obtained access by purchase, do you (or did you ever) have ESO+, even as a free trial? I'm wondering if that might affect this as well.

Actually no it won't let me grab the quest under level 50.

Submitted a Support Ticket.

Seems that 'it's working as intended'.

To be able to CLAIM it through the Crown Store, you have to have an unlocked Level 50 Hero but you CAN start the Scribing quest line at level 30 by reading the flier by the Skingrad Wayshrine like the Tobyja mentioned.

I don't know what to make of that - it seems ridiculous that you have to have the Level 50 Hero achievement to CLAIM the quest through the Crown Store even though a level 30 character can do the quest. Once you start the quest the Level 50 Hero verbiage disappears from the Crown Store as seen here:

Where exactly is this flier located? I'm 37 lvl and can see neither NPC in Skingrad nor flier to start the quest. Also, the crown store requires me to be 50 lvl. I don't play that much to get 50 lvl even in the rest of the 20 days, and it seems impossible to complete all of the golden pursuits because half of them require scribing. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? @ZOS_GinaBruno could you please help me?

West Weald - Skingrad Wayshrine, turn to face West and look at the wall - the flier is in between 2 windows. You can barely see it on the screenshot but I put a yellow box around it. Good luck!
