Well, fixed the login via steam...Still can't access interface settings. And I'm getting a crash from "WeMods" just being on my rig. What [snip]

It IS on an SSD.
WeMod is for single player only and ESO isn't even supported on it. Secondly, why would I jeopardize my account in attempting to use it in the first place. It's not even running when I log into Steam, so it shouldn't trigger anything. But, it's a moot point. I've already uninstalled ESO.
Yesterday I downloaded ESO from the site...took about 5 hours at a painfully slow download speed from the ESO server. I couldn't access the menus for key bindings, I couldn't exit the game without shutting it down in "Task Manager". So, I uninstalled if and did a clean install from Steam. Couldn't log in because of issues connecting with Steam even though the 2 accounts are linked. Just goes to show that Zenimax/Bethesda still don't have their acts together after 3 years away from the game.

I don't have this issue with ESO, but to let you know, I encounter this problem to quit normally with Diablo 4. I have to enforce the game to quit.
I don't know, but some players in forums claim it's a memory leak issue.
Well clearly it's that potato of a PC you're using... 🤣
Anyone running the 13th or 14th gen Intel CPU and have issues its likely due to the CPU microcode issue. I replaced my 13900k with a 14900k (under warranty), then replaced that with another 14900k (again, warranty). THEN I got intel to write me a check. I bought an AMD and new board and haven't had 1 single issue.
It starts small. Browser tab randomly fails to load, ESO crashes, corrupted saved variable files, even the ESO launcher wouldn't work properly. Once you have the crashing, there is no fix to it. Start an intel RMA. Go for the money, replace it with an AMD. Microcenter offers great conbo deals.
You are lucky then. Make sure your bios is updated to prevent getting the microcode issue I've seen too many times. If you watercool your CPU that may also help prevent the issue. Long story short... the bios updates basically lower the voltages so the CPU runs cooler and doesn't cook itself. With the high heat of summer more and more it is popping up now. Firefox even mentioned it recently.Odd, I have a 13900K and never a single issue running ESO. I don't think my games crashed once in the last 12 months.
