Good sets for rogue

I'm wondering, what are a couple recommended 'best sets' for a rogue - dual dagger nightblade - from crafting or dungeons.

Are any such sets immediately obsolete by doing a few trials?

Probably. Depends on what content exactly you’re trying to do. If you’re doing overland, then it doesn’t matter. Thieving or PvP then no. Dungeons and trials then yes.

The new crafted set Tide-Born Wildstalker is one of the better sets in the game for a build that uses mostly direct damage (like a lot of setups with the Nightblade's Assassination skill line do). It's worth crafting for sure, and won't be obsolete when you acquire Trial gear (as you could then use it together with a Trial set like Slivers of the Null Arca).

You could pair Tide-Born with another crafted set for the time being, Order's Wrath, and switch OW for a better Trial set when you get it.

Thanks. I meant for content like vet dungeons not PvP, and I have other sets for thieving.I forgot to say, for a basic playstyle with one bar. Sounds like Tide-Born Wildstalker and Order's Wrath. Does it matter which for armor? Divines trait?

if you play oaken, i think only lightning staff Heavy attack build good...
and as pve dps,all time use divines
and use Tide-Born and Order's Wrath first,if you farm other good trial/dungreon set
like arca/aegis/nirn,you can give up Order's Wrath first

Nope. There are a lot of fantastic playstyles with Oakensoul. People are equating Oakensoul with Lighting Staff Heavy Attack and totally miss the point of Oakensoul: Accessibility by not having to bar swap.

Anyway. As a rogue playstyle I would recommend going all in on crit damage and crit chance. Tzogvin's Warband, Highland Sentinel or Advancing Yokuda are top for increasing crit chance. But there is also crit damage to consider.

Depending on wether you are alone, in a random group or an organised group, it can be an option to use sets with unique crit damage bonuses like Back Alley Gourmand. This one I like a lot, because it's overland, it's cheap on guild traders and has crit healing too, not just damage. Perfect for soloing.

If you are willing to drop Oakensoul, there are other Mythics, that will fit a crit build even better. Mora's Whispers for example.

in group dungreon/trial , if you not swap bar and not LA/HA build ,Mora's Whispers/Sea-Serpent's Coil/Velothi Ur-Mage's Amulet still better oaken
oakensoul buffs only 100% work time empower buff good in group pve ,other buffs so easy own in a group
    but other old/meta dd mythic have crit/free 10~16% dmg/pen
but sure, oaken in solo is very strong, and pug when you tank/healer is fake....
and it why Rakkhat's Voidmantle better oaken more, the 50% heavy attack dmg buff is no name buff, you just need a skill can run empower, and you not give up anything and buff your HA 50%,because oaken other buff can from healer/tank/trial set/banner
but oaken still good in solo survive

Does it matter whether to get the five pieces of tide-born as body armor or weapon/jewelry?

if you in one bar,no matter
but if you start try 2 bar and back bar is other set(arena weapon/other proc set)
it will affect you tide-born in back bar run time
so some set better use body for 100% run time(like Order's Wrath/tide-born)
the proc set use weapon/jewelry,because they many have cooldown, you swap not lost any thing(aegis/nirn)
but craft set have a good point in body part,if you other set is not a craft set,and it a light armor, you better use craft set in body and make med armor, use weapon/jewelry in this light armor set(light passive bad than med many ,only in solo and build need penetrate, will run 2-3 light)

this is my spc/pp healer build, you can see when i swap back bar(pillager weapon),my spc(spell power) only 3/5 so i cant give spc buff for my group, but i can give pillager buff for group

So, if tide-born armor, and Order's Wrath weapon/jewelry, if I want to use 1 or 2 mythics, would they replace OW, or the monster set?
