Infinite loading screen

I was able to log into my EU PS4 account around 04.45 this morning, but then I was unable to load a new character around 05.15. Since then I have received the infinite loading screen so I decided to restart the game. I am now told that I'm already logged in... attempting fresh connections tells me that there is an unexpected internal error ...
What is going on please?

This might be connected to the problems mentioned on all three EU servers here?
