Are you supposed to stay in the shrinking glowing blue circle of death or get out of it? I can't tell. I've died in and I've died out of it.

I know it's a WB, but they are hard to do by myself in the last few DLCs.

Neither—the blue beam in between the turtles kills you. If you kill one turtle, it gets rid of two beams, making room to get out. But the boss can knock you back into the beams.

And by can knock you into the beam, he means definitely will knock you back into the beam. If he doesn't, the Wamasu will. I feel like a pinball doing that fight.

It doesn't one shot you, it deals ~17k magic damage to the average player.
