Elder Scrolls Online has quit unexpectedly

My wifes computer is running an Radeon ATI HD3870 x2 graphics card. 4gigs of ram. Win7 with a quadcore processor. Its weaker but it meets all system requirements for the game. I've been able to log into the game and play for a random amount of time with absolutely smooth frame rates at my current settings. Spontaneously I will quit with the usual message of "ESO has quit unexpectedly" randomly usually in the first 5 or 10 minutes of gameplay.
So far trying to fix the game I have done the following: Uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Uninstalled and Reinstalled graphics drivers, MSconfig and shut down all non essential start up programs (I don't have razor products which I heard could be a reason for the error.). Adjusted Graphics settings down to absolute minimum(smooth framerates again but random crash), and made sure crossfire settings in my graphics were off, and ran the game in administrator. At this rate I am stumped. I have even tried going into the Live user settings and setting the Dxd3d11 to OpenGL and it didn't work either.

    Did you try to launch the game with admin rights ?

    Yes Running as admin is one of the many things that I tried. Thank you though.

    Your setup & config seems right to me. I read somewhere that launch the game with some compatibility options (winXP, that sort of thing) could fix some issues in game. Did you look in the game folder for a log file or something that can give you (us ?) an hint ?

    edit: did you look here ? http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/61629/a-lire-problemes-techniques-connus-pc#latest
    I'm thinking of all about .NET and VS optionnal update, this kind of thing.

    You know I didn't think to try and launch in compatability mode. I figured since windows 7 was supported it would run just fine on windows 7. Ill give it a shot and see whats going on. If I get the error message again I'll see if I can get you the info.

    @ocarina1‌

    Have you tried Game Options (center of Launcher Screen) > Pull-Down Menu > Repair? Repair can help many issues.

    Another useful tool that helped me when I had an issue switching between NA and EU Megaservers is OPTIONS (icon at top right of Launcher), About > Game Consultant.

    After running either Game Options > Repair or Game Consultant, I suggest closing the Launcher completely, then restarting the Launcher. You do not necessarily need to reboot.

    See the attached screenshots. (BTW, screenshots were taken using Beta Launcher after NDA was lifted. However, the images also apply to the Release Client.)

    The only difference is the server labelled (Beta) server will now say (NA) or (EU). FYI, Although PTS Client appears I was not a participant in PTS.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks Ill give this a try as well. We have tried the repair option before with no avail but I haven't tried the Consultant. I give both another whirl and see what happens.

    Tried the Consultant in the game launcher. A lot of the report is gibberish to me. I don't want to post a wall of text unless I moderator or someone really needs to see them. However this did catch my eye. It was the ping test for ESO.

    (It means your computer is unable to talk to the "launcher.bethesda.net" server. Did you try to start the launcher with your firewall and AV shut down ?)

    --> Need to be deleted, I can't ping the server neither (launcher.bethesda.net:54.217.220.147)

    (Another topic give me an idea. Try this :

    * Windows 7:
    - Click on the Start button
    - Type cmd in the Start Menu
    - Right-click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
    - Type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter
    - If it was successful, you will see the message "Windows IP configuration successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache."
    - Power cycle the router to clear the cache so that it doesn't store the bad route

    Ok. So I resolved my issue. Turns out I wasn't actually managing to shut off crossfire for ESO. I went into catalyst control to poke around on my wifes computer settings. I found out that I needed to make a profile for the game in the catalyst settings to have the disable crossfire effect. After I set a profile for ESO I was able to go in and save the settings for disabled crossfire. I was able to play an hour and twenty minutes with no random crash and several quests.
    For now at least I think I can call this resolved. Thank you everyone for your help in the matter. You all set me on the right course I just had to figure out how to make it all happen :D
