Chakram of destiny shield scaling is still broken

Ive noticed that the damage shield from this ability is still scaling incorrectly by a large margin. its supposed to scale with maximum magicka or spell power like skills such as [barrier] or [steadfast ward], but it does not. it only scales off max HP. the Bastion champion point passive also does not effect the skill at all. i hope this can be fixed eventually but it looks like this has been a bug since the arcanist was released...

any way we can boost visibility for this so it can finally get fixed? or is that a lost cause.

    This isn't a bug... you're misunderstanding how the scaling works.

    The shields are definitely scaling on your Max Mag or Stamina, but all max mag/stam shields in the game are capped at a % of your Max Health by design. This is an intended feature. The shield isn't scaling off your Max Health, you're just increasing your shield cap by putting in points into your Max Health, and since you're already at the cap, you're seeing the shield size only increase with Max Health.

    Similarly, the Champ Point star Bastion is working correctly with the shields, but again, since the shield (and all other shields) are capped at a % of your max health, you arent going to see the increase from Bastion if you're already at the cap.

    Go into a PvP zone and you'll see that the shield is scaling correctly, since in PvP, you're much less likely to reach the shield cap because the cap is applied after the shield is cut in half by Battle Spirit.

    there are multiple types of shield scaling within ESO. yes, the 50% health cap is the most common, but every single one of those are stated in the tooltip for those skills. but in any case, The chakrams do not, nor is it actually scaling to a 50% cap of my max health. the 43% mentioned in the video is correct.

    My health sits around 22k, but my chakrams without the 30% boost from doublecasting sits at 9.5k. 43% of my max HP. the 30% boost takes me just Over the 50% HP shield cap. a non HP scaling shield would be steadfast ward. with my usual boosts this reaches 10914 but when i take the +6k max mag food, reducing my HP to18950 and boosting my magicka upwards of 37000, the shield protects for up to 11336. a small boost, but above the 50% HP cap.

    I think it's less that it's broken and more that it could be more clearly labeled.

    Other damage shields do cap out at 43% but, they tend to be labeled.

    I don't think it is terribly clear to players why Smash can potentially shield players for over 100% of their HP and Chakram can only do 43%.

    You're wrong in saying that all shields are capped at 50% HP; it varies wildly from shield to shield, and the only Shields that explicitly state the cap are Annulment/Dampen (55% and 60%) and Sorcerer's shields (55%/72% for Ward, 43% for Refuge).

    Annulment is 55% max HP, while Dampen is 60%. This 60% is the same as Steadfast Ward, as it's single target (11336/18950 = .598), and while the Ward Ally morph gives one extra target, it's still only 2 compared to some of the other AoE shields.

    Chakrams is AoE, so it has a lower cap. Daedric Refuge (the shield morph of Mines) is also 43%, so ZOS likely applies this cap to all AoE non-ultimate shields.
