How to Fix "Missing Dependency" or "Out of Date" AddOns in ESO (2025)

If your Tamriel Trade Center (or any other add-on) isn’t working and shows a “missing dependency” error, here’s what I did: This applies to any add-on — you just need to figure out which missing library (lib) it needs.

What to do:

Step 1:
Go to esoui.com and search for the missing lib
(example: LibAddonMenu-2.0, LibCustomMenu)

Step 2:
Download the zip, then go to:
Documents > Elder Scrolls Online > live > AddOns

Delete the old version of the lib (if it’s there)

Copy the old folder’s name before deleting it

Extract the new zip into the AddOns folder

Rename the new folder to match the old name exactly
(ESO won’t detect it if the name is different — even if it has version numbers like “-1234”)

Step 3:
Launch or restart ESO. Your add-on should now work!

That's what works for me!

You don't need to delete the old one or go to the trouble of creating a new folder. Just unzip the download copy the folder within paste it to the add on folder and click the replace existing files.

Yeah, the error shows up even if you used Minion, buddy. So you’ll just have to update it manually like i did there’s no way around it."

Sometimes the name shows up with a version number like Ver.1234 ,glad I put it up there so people wouldn’t get confused

That only addresses missing dependencies, but that doesn't fix "Out of Date" add-ons.

And if you use Minion, you won't have to install a missing Lib manually. Just look at your add-ons list in-game by choosing "Add-Ons" from the left-hand menu once you land on the Character Select screen after logging-in to the game.
Any Add-on title in the list that is red has a missing lib. Just click on the title, and it will show you the name(s) of the Lib(s) missing for that add-on. Then just go back to Minion, search for those Lib titles, and install them.

Or do it manually if you prefer.

But that will not fix "Out of Date" add-ons. For that, you either have to manually update the API Version Number, or wait for the add-on author to do it.
