March of Sacrifice Achievements Bug

A group of mine just did March of Sacrifices in vet in under 30 minutes but still did not get the Pure Instinct (Speed Run) achievement. This has now happened numerous times. Same with no death a while back. Figured the bug would have been fixed by now but still seems to be there.

Total run time: 21 minutes and 23 seconds

Are you absolutely sure you killed every trash mob? I find it easy to get turned around there. I can try to look at the logs when I can get to a PC, but I never actually counted how many mobs there are.

I’ve run the speed run and no death for several people in the past few weeks, including before and after U46. (There are three of us offering the fourth spot to guildies who need achievements, and the speedrun/no death/hm achievements here are very popular requests.) The person requesting the achievement has always gotten it. On one of the more recent runs we almost missed a trash pull we normally remember to do just fine, which is part of why I’m asking.

When we did MHK the other day, we did not get the no-death after the final boss despite no players dying. We had to backtrack to find a lone werewolf behemoth chilling in a side hallway. Killing him made the achievement pop.

As virtus already said, you have to kill all adds to get the challenger-achievements rewarded.

I've checked the replay and you indeed skipped all the mobs, that are not "on your way".

Have a look on the screenshot:

Green line is the way you walked, while the red points are the adds you are missed and are required to pop the achievements.

Every dungeon from Fang Lair/Scalecaller peak onwards requires you to kill all mobs for the ND/SR/Tri achievements.

Thanks so much for checking on this and the screenshot!

Can we get that part added to the achievement text then??? Because the achievement says specifically just the Bosses. Nothing about mobs or trash packs and there a TON of extra trash packs in some dungeons.

Defeat all encounters in addition to the Wyrd Sisters, Aghaedh of the Solstice, Dagrund the Bulky, Tarcyr, and Balorgh in Veteran March of Sacrifices in under 30 minutes. Timer starts when players jump or teleport into Bloodscent Pass.

Here’s an example of an earlier DLC speedrun achievement description that specifically says only the bosses, for comparison:

“Defeat Zatzu the Spine-Breaker, the Mighty Chudan, Xal-Nur the Slaver, and Tree-Minder Na-Kesh in Veteran Ruins of Mazzatun within 30 minutes of starting the dungeon. Timer starts on passing through the first archway.”

No mention of “encounters in addition to [the bosses]” in this one, and the trash is accordingly not required in RoM (besides whatever unlocks the doors to proceed).

If the dungeon has a trifecta, you need to kill all the trash. MoS is infamous for its easy-to-miss trash.

The good news is that if you kill the end boss and the achievement doesn't pop, you can go back and kill the mob you missed, which in my case, turned out to be a hulking werewolf in a side room we hadn't realised was there.
