Mount categories

Does anyone have a clue as to which ones are shown? The old Equines, Ursines etc. got replaced by Horses, Bears, ... I'm not asking about that, but why not all possible categories are in the list.
One of my accounts has only the Sorrel Horse, but several other categories show, showing ones that are not collected. They do not include guar, but do include big cats and wolves. So some categories are just missing. It does not appear to relate to DLC owned, as indrik show, but guar do not. I have access to Vvardenfell, but not Summerset.

✭✭✭I too preferred the old categories although heavyweights could be broken up into others since there are different types of animals there. Toys? I never even noticed that one. I guess that's for the jester horsey stick and suchlike?1 -

there are currently no earnable Guar and Kagouti mounts, earnables are visible in collections even if uncollected.
ESO Hub's mount page has a Guar and Kagouti category so that must be the category you're looking for, which would show if you had one of those mounts.

Indrik must be a special case, as you need an event for the tickets to earn those. Perhaps they are there because earning the tickets and spending them are separate.0 -

Yea event ticket mounts are earnable as you earn the tickets.
That's not really a special case though as Quasigriffs, Ursauks, Dwemer Spiders, and Welwas should also be visible for the same reason.
