Maintenance for the week of September 8:
• [COMPLETE] PC/Mac: EU megaserver for maintenance – September 9, 22:00 UTC (6:00PM EDT) - September 10, 16:00 UTC (12:00PM EDT)

Pleas devs of Housing, I would like to hide in city sewers and make a criminal hideout decor.

I love playing a brigand, a thief, an assassin, in the universe of the elder scrolls, but I can’t find my house in TESO, sniff, already 10 years of incredible housing and a totally absent theme in housing bases in city sewer theme for street bandits.

I would like to be able to see this kind of lair where, for example, you rot through that secret (or then secret) cellar door in a discreet alley away from the crowds, which wouldn’t really make you want to go there with the famous emblematic criminal emblem, or even, in an abandoned/ruined house with a destroyed wall camouflaging, actually, a secret passage leading to the sewers. I would love to see this type of lair for us city bandits :). Or even this house outside the city, but near the ramparts (outer side) of a city.

I really like the sewer design of Wayrest or Daggerfall.

I absolutely hope to see this finally arrive in the TESO housing catalog, 10 years without this type of housing hideout, it’s still a bit long, please devs housing creator, do that for us.

No, it's not the same theme as what I'm looking for here, I'm really hoping for a lair in a city sewer.

Maybe a home in the Ratway in Riften or perhaps the sewers in Rimmen?

An Imperial City sewer home though might be an issue.

A sewers hideout home would be pretty awesome. Personally I'd want it to be in the Riften ratways, but it would work in pretty much any city with an outlaw's refuge.

I would love a hideout home. Something with 2 entrances, where one is a secret entrance, and the other leads to an Outlaw's Refuge. Tbh it would've been a great house in Hew's Bane as it would've also been close to the Thieves Guild dailies as well, but maybe when we get more TG content.

I do not want this, but I support you in your desire for this. It may not be for me, but it's a good idea and solidly in-theme for the game.

After that, I think that any city sewer would be acceptable, even if, on a personal note, I have to admit that I have a certain preference for the cities of the blues :p, where I really like the medieval style that is offered there ;p, but that, you've probably understood ^^.

Even below, different themes could be proposed over time!

The should allow you to have a house in Imperial City so you can sneak out the back door and mug a few people for their telvar before going home for lunch.

I think that every Thieve's Guild should have tiny housing available, but it should be kept separate from the other houses, in that you can't port there from the regular wayshrines or normal portal methods. Instead each guild hall should have a special Thieve's Transit system where you can portal directly into any hall where you have purchased a hovel.
I ALWAYS believe I know the answer. Turns out I rarely understand the question.

Player since BETA (February 2014) and have the monkey to prove it. Level 50 in all classes and have mastered all normal skill lines. Still working on mastering all subclassed skill lines.

The Crown Store house in The Reach has 2 entrances, 1 being to the Outlaw Refuge, but the aethestic is all wrong for a thief.

Dark Brotherhood have their own house, thieves are obviously too poor to get one.

Yeah, a dwemer lift into the Refuge?? Definitely not for a thief. More a black market researcher/profiteer lol.

Thieves actually do have their own house, except its not a "house" but several buildings, a pond, and desert ruins surrounding it. Not of course what is being asked, but there technically is something for Thieves...just several of them and not for one or two people. https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Thieves'_Oasis

True, but again the aesthetic is all wrong, plus the DB house is actually in Gold Coast and has the DB aesthetic.

YES! I'd love a hideout house.

& you could sort of accomplish this with the one house in Necrom if you sealed off parts of the house, since it has the door into the refuge.

That's a nice idea OP, and I'm surprised they haven't offered it yet, given all the sewer assets already in-game. I've always wanted to try and recreate the sewer entrance when you first zone into the WGT dungeon.

What is the aesthetic for a Thief exactly? a smart thief would make their home look the same as any other home less the guards come knocking.

Interesting. I didn't know that. However it is not to my tastes/not what I had in mind, so I would like something different. Something more underground, perhaps in or near a cistern with access to water. Maybe the entrance is a sewer grate lol Moving the goalposts as its known.

Stone Eagle Aerie has an exit to the Markarth Outlaws Refuge as well.

EDIT: probably not what you are looking for but I thought I would mention it too

Some people add secret areas to their homes. For example, they build a perfectly inconspicuous house, but there is a hidden door behind a carpet leading to a necromantic study or a DB hideout...
