I'm one of the kinds of players that enjoy grapple points whenever I find them; they're so few and far between that they always feel like a new experience when I come across them - and they're kinda fun to use, too. A grapple point furnishing, in my mind, would look basically the same as they do in other places with the exception that the furnishing would have a small platform attached to it so players using them in a house would have somewhere to grapple to. Grapple point furnishings would also give players more flexibility in reaching areas of their homes with ease, designing parkour courses for visitors, or building vertical structures without needing to place stairs everywhere.
A complimentary addition to grapple point furnishings would be an invisible guidewire which can only be seen by decorators in house editing mode, which would allow them to create intended paths for players to follow without having to cluster furnishings around them to prevent grappling off-course - think of it like pathing nodes for houseguests, except the grapple points don't move along them, rather you do in the intended order. The guidewire could also be expanded upon at a later time to include things like full house lighting with a single interaction, and efficient environmental mood changes involving the time controller, weather controller, and even music boxes.
I think this would make an excellent addition to the game that would allow players to liven up their homes even more and have more frequent access to a fun, but underused, mechanic.
