Character load abysmally slow

Attempting to load my characters this morning (EU server, PS4) is proving torturous. The process takes many minutes and has twice failed due to "inactivity" even though the character is still in the process of loading. What is the problem please?

Edit: I am now receiving Error 304: This account is already logged in.
Edit: All I get now is LOGIN FAILED: An unexpected error....
I have tried closing then restarting the game to no avail.

    Same here. Can't enter Outlaws Refuge. Can't enter IC campaign.
    Totaly unplayable today. :(

    Apparantly it's being investigated.

    Same for me on xbox eu, got kicked from the game, waited several minutes before attempting to log back in.
    Got error 304, so I waited for another several minutes.
    No joy, I select character then get stuck loading. I let it try for few minutes but nothing.

    Same for me. And until I restarted my playstation after that I couldn't login to PSNA either...

    I'm doing my dailies on the NA server PS4 now and everything is normal.

    I was rather hoping that the EU server would have been sorted by now because I had to abandon playing earlier as it was a total waste of time.

    Is it a coincidence that the chaos event began at the same time as this problem? Although why would it only affect one server...?

    The problem seems to have been resolved. I am now cycling through my EU characters for their dailies. Thank you, ZOS.
