Hello all,

after almost 2.5 years eso absence I decided to come back and to give it another try. Since a few things have changed I wanted to ask the experts suggest to start again.
- what charackter makes the restart easy? , have sorc, nb, warden, dk, necro dd's around cp 2200
- what activities, quests are a must?
- new important daylies?

Until I stopped I did almost trail tirfecta progs on PS and maybe I come to that point again, time will tell.
For now I want to restart into the game and prog to bring my chars up to date.

Any tips and suggestions are appreciated and thanks a lot.

Sorcerers are no doubt always an easy one to hop back into the game because of the survivability and decent damage no matter what nerfs/buffs get thrown in. If you’re on PC and already have the subclassing system… you’re in for a whirlwind of new trial and error.

My two cents is to grab one of your characters and start on one little path and see where the game pulls you. There is so much to do in this game, that you’ll quickly find yourself wanting to get pulled back into multiple different things and you’ll have a good list to work through if you want to.

Maybe start up an arcanist organically (don’t have someone power level you) and enjoy that new play style. I find that it fascinates me how many different way to play there are and just how many different skills completely change the playstyle. I love theory crafting and stacking skills I’ve never used before.. not to max out anything, but just to make my playtime more enjoyable while hitting hard enough to feel like it’s worth playing. And this is coming from a CP3600 that has completed every zone story quest as well as the 60 zone specific quests for most areas. There’s still so much to do to keep me busy.

I feel like the times I “take a break” from the game are the ones I was too focused on optimizing play-time. Like doing enough dailies or any other “chore” like repetition that kind of sucked away the breadth of life that this game actually has. This game is huge and expansive and the quests are so cool when I’m not trying to power through them just to unlocked a needed optimization.

I took part in the recent crime wave mini event where it encouraged you to pickpocket and do other nefarious actions and it really excited me to experience this game in a whole new way.

I guess to make this all come to a neat ending: try not to focus on what’s expected or optimized or a long “to-do” list and find new ways to enjoy the same game you’ve clearly put in quite a bit of time for. If you have access, I’d say give the Arcanist a comprehensive playthrough. Try to do as much of it organically and try not to make it a chore to rush through. I think you’ll have a lot of fun

There's now a new in-game tutorial for returning players that apparently lets you explore ( hero's return ) changes to game and maybe what class/subclass may suit your play style.

Maybe just dive in and explore a bit?

welcome back and hope you have some fun.

Thanks a lot for your comments, I finally started with @Eternity_Was suggestion. created a arc and leveling it now. not really questing, it's more skyshardfarming with doing a few quests in between :).
maybe I'll start a bit more questing the new content since I decided to enjoy

An arcanist, how can you raise his skills to level 50. Make a Sabclass. then you do the main story quest, if you like quests. Personally, I'm tired of them. You need to run a lot :D and read

That enjoyment is a big one for me.. and sometimes I find myself forgetting that I am playing the game because I enjoy it… not to instantly have everything unlocked and then be bored. I found I rushed through a lot and then sat there like “now what?” And realized there was so much fun in the process.. especially when I didn’t burn myself out doing repetitive things.
