I've already got a ticket in and am going back and forth with support, but I was wondering if anyone else has been having this issue.
My game has been crashing consistently in the last month or so, but it has gotten much worse in the last week. I will be playing the game and a crash report comes up saying "ESO has stopped working". Sometimes after trying to load the game again, I will get a crash report before I even get to the main menu. I have completed all the suggestions that are listed in ESO support:
- disable and remove add-ons,
- repair game client,
- updated graphic card drivers,
- ran game as administrator,
- made sure anti-virus as exception for ESO.
- checked dpi settings
- repaired the launcher
- removed all addons
- lowered my graphic settings
- did windows updates
In addition, I also:
- remove the ShaderCache and UserSettings files from my Elder Scrolls Online Live folder
- made sure my nvidia overlay was turned off
- ESO and Steam are set to use graphics on highest setting
- removed depot folder and had launcher redownload game
- uninstalled and reinstalled game
I've also tried the following suggested by support:
- created a new windows account
- disabled Intel Speed Step Technology, and Intel Speed Shift Technology in BIOS
- added anti-virus exception for game and Steam
- did a clean installation of my graphics drivers
So far, nothing has worked. I am still crashing. I am at wits end and I am sure support is probably there too. Has anyone else had this issue and been able to find a fix?
