Solstice Corelanya Manor - epic!

I started this thread to thank the developers (including writers and everyone involved) for their work with this part of Solstice.

I was a bit bored, like alright, let's clear this objective from the map. And my mood totally changed when I entered the manor. I won't spoil much, but I want to add a picture of the first hall.

As a housing enthusiast, I am jealous of the person(s) who created the manor. Congratulations! The idea to have everything covered in dust, paired with the lighting, sets this place apart. In Summerset we might have those interiors with mold, but this looks so much better, especially because of the lighting effects. Even the candles light as you walk by them.

There is a character who reminded me of Abnur Tharn. Perhaps was voiced by the talented Alfred Molina. This quest has interesting devices and twists. I really liked the story and the ending. Even the quest reward was appropriate

So, if you haven't done this already, please don't skip this location.

Agree the staircase candles were a nice touch. I enjoyed the quest itself too - we actually got some lore and a chance to voice backstory for our characters.

Yes, I really liked this quest, too. It was one of the first I did, and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Seems to be a very Elder Scrolls thing to be honest. I was much more invested and interested in the side-stories in Oblivion and Skyrim, than I was with their "hero" main-story.

I didn't like the quest of the manor at all, sadly. Every single NPC was dislikeable, childish, cruel and revengeful. I didn't like the outcome too - I would never have chosen it. Good that everyone on the island kept their distance from there.
I didn't realize that the last dialogue of the quest was in the last chamber instead of outside. When I was outside, it was too late, couldn't get in anymore, even taking the quest route had the last door blocked. So good for me, I could abandon the quest. Since I got to drink the drink for the achievement, I have all I wanted from in there.
They can squabble for all eternity there now and be their cruel selves. I won't help them and let them loose on poor solstice.

The quest is broken for me, despite restarting it several times.

We seem to be getting less side quests each time we get a major content patch, but they do appear to be good quality at least. There is a tradeoff. That is my opinion anyway. I thought it was a decent questline.

Khajiit found that quest to be delightfully spooky, and the way the house was decorated, drained of color. Very well done.

I agree. Corelanya manor is great! I wanted to add one thing, I feel like the npc character models and lighting have been somehow improved. I thought they looked awesome. I noticed this when engaged in dialogue with them.
Anybody else notice this or is it my imagination?

I enjoyed this one as well. Except for the puzzle with the statue and the poison gas/zombies, which took me way too long to figure out.

Nothing like failing time after time while others fly right by you getting it on their first attempt.

Rode by the manor first day of the patch when I was discovering wayshrines. I thought: “Ooh, cool looking haunted mansion!”.

Decided to save it for my last zone quest and wasn’t disappointed. Beautifully done inside. The quest itself was ok but like someone said above I didn’t really care much for the NPCs. Also neat that you can go back inside to all areas after the quest is complete.

It was absolutely the highlight of the "expansion" for me, the house and atmosphere were fantastic and it told a solid short proper story

Spooky manor house when ZOS? I'm not the only one thinking this

I loved it too, and when I first saw the house, I decided not to go in because I was afraid it might be a part of the main quest or something, and I didn’t want to spoil it for me. So I did it close to last too, and I’m glad I waited because I loved the atmosphere and the quest.
