Do people enjoy the new trial?

I like the older trials; maybe I am not a trial guy... The last trial I enjoyed was Dreadsail Reef...
The last trial Lucent Citadel I already didnt care that much for why I never grinded for the sets...

But this new trial I like the least...it was really no fun to me but felt like work;
it seems way too long, convoluted, grindy and the last bosses damage fields are super annoying to resurrect players (and the boss seems to be designed for beamers which doesnt help with Arcanist dominance).

It really felt like work not fun and after having done it once I have little motivation to do it again yet alone grind for the sets....

Well raid is a raid. I like all of them because of the group content nature of the game. But this one particular is seems to be longer than usual. I mean not the boss fights. Too much trash.

Also there is an mechanic that is unfriendly to random groups and even opens ways to troll the entire group.

Too many adds. I prefer tanking one big dragon rather than having to deal with so many adds. This feels less epic.

I did it on pts a few times. I like all of it except last boss.
as soon as i saw the interior design i knew it would be Coldharbor2.0, but it was still cool and unique anyway. And then we get actual molag kena and her dumb shock walls and every single mech looks the same: blue and flashy and desynch city. And Low Warden. Really? I guess they used up all the creative juice on the first 2 and forgot to restock.

My fav trials are lucent citadel and halls of fabrication fwiw.

It's fun. Stack and burn is boring. I like all of the encounters. The mechs aren't really difficult, once the team has a good strat -- which most groups I've been in don't quite have yet.

The blind clear I was part of on launch day was completely chaotic and we cleared despite having no clue about what was going on. In hindsight, I have no idea how we managed that. So I don't think it's really a punishing trial.

The only gameplay criticism I have is that trash pulls seem uninteresting compared to the past few years. But maybe the supports are doing more than I realized.

It's a shame that most, if not all, art assets are recycled though.

I don't necessarily like it more than every other trial, but it's currently what I'm most interested in running because it's new.

I've only done the vet version, so I'm not sure how the normal version is tuned.

There seems to be way more adds, and the reuse of assets and creatures is very obvious. It didn't give me a new visual experience, it felt like I'd seen everything before unfortunately.

I ran it tonight with the wife in a pug. It was ok, not really memorable. Kinda long if you ask me. The urns gave garbage, the boss loot was boring (typical ESO loot). Not gonna lie, I miss the day of seeing cool items/weapons etc drop in wow. There is never a sense of awe in ESO with loot drops....well I say never, but I suppose when the X weapon finaly drops in an arena or somethingis fun, but otherwise nothing to write home about.

I mean, on one hand we had a fun time running around dogding a million red circles, but on the other I don't see this trial going down as "one of the greats".

I just looked up the titles. Why is normal the best one lol.

Though "Master of Misery" has a nice ring to it. Just need to add one word.

I'm gonna ignore the all achievements one, I had to look that word up. Either way saying it out loud sounds... unfortunate.

I liked it better the second time I went through.

There are a lot of recycled mechanics, so that was a bit meh in my opinion. Also so long, especially the trash up to the first encounter.

The first time was way too mazelike, but that got better the second time.

But yeah, it didn't make me think "omg so cool!" like the final encounter of Lucent did. That was a great new spin on a mechanic, whereas this one... well, the second encounter was cool enough especially looking up after it ended. But that was just a cool visual.

From what I've watched of it on Twitch (I'm on PS5-NA), it looks like a lot of fun! The most common complaint i've heard though is that there's way too many trash mobs.

I always preferred raids in any game where it's focused on bosses, so i've typically enjoyed the small raids more in ESO (cloudrest for instance).

It was cool seeing so many of the older bosses in there but geez its long. Went in having no idea how long it was an it took like an hour and a half on normal. Sure, we did all the mini events but still.....

So far I am enjoying it more than Lucent and Sanity's, but it's not as good as Dreadsail or Rockgrove.

    And tad too much trash.

The trial is by far too hard for Pick-up-Groups.
It requires a good group to be even beatable on Vet.
I think this trial requires some tuning.

Got the feeling ZOS focussed on the PTS trifecta guys and set them as standard when designing the difficulty here.

Probably because its a question for those who have done it yet. Nothing everything has to be inclusive.

To be fair, there isn't many casual groups that go to pts, so ZOS can only see how the endgamers are doing it.
