I don't know who's brilliant idea it was to make the game UI play a sound every time you earn any amount of a currency but AP IS A CURRENCY.

And the only way to fix it without nuking the sound in LUA is to TURN OFF ALL INTERFACE SOUNDS?!?!

Did no one on the QA team even give one single second of thought to how insanely obnoxious this would be in PVP? Nevermind, I know the answer.

Turn this off, and not in a month, immediately

EDIT: ZOS confirmed to addon-devs that this is a UI bug and is intended to be fixed.

Eh. It’s not that bad. Most of the time, I don’t even notice it among the rest of the noise in PvP. Give it like two weeks and you’ll probably be used to it.

Immediately noticed this as soon as I went into PVP, and man is this annoying. Please give us an option to disable this.

This is actually a ball group buff since we all played with interface sounds off for the past 6 years due to addons like Sanct's and RDK pinging the map constantly so if you didn't there would be a constant 'ticking' sound. Now everyone feels that pain.

I thought I was losing my mind — CLINKCLINKCLINKCLINK like a damn slot machine having a panic attack in my ears every single second I'm alive in Cyrodiil. WHO. THOUGHT. THIS. WAS. A. GOOD. IDEA?

AP is a currency. You breathe near a flag and suddenly it's an auditory assault. I'm trying to focus, trying to fight, and instead I’m getting SONIC WATERBOARDED by a never-ending torrent of clinks. It's not immersive — it’s psychological warfare.

And the only “fix” is to kill the entire interface sound layer?? Are you actually joking? What kind of design decision is that? Did no one sit down, playtest this for FIVE MINUTES in a real PvP scenario and go, “Oh, this might drive people absolutely feral?”

Fix it. Immediately. Not “soon,” not “in a future patch,” not “we’re looking into it.” NOW. Flip the switch, turn it off, revert it — I don’t care how, just make the endless clinking STOP.

There's an addon to stop that sound, I use it. Hopefully someone makes an addon to stop this one.

But if the game doesn't jingle coins at me, how else am I supposed to know that I earned one single Alliance Point from healing some rando?

I've also been having an issue where my sound settings reset after muting Interface sounds, turning them back on, so you know. Kill me.

As of todays patch, they actually did fix it. It was annoying af and its gone finally.

They didn‘t fix it. They just removed the gold drop sound completely. Also for actual gold drops…
