Subclassing - do you have to max out each individual skill of a subclass skill line on one character

to completely unlock the skill line for all other characters?

I thought you only had to max out the skill line itself to 50 but I have Hurricane on my Arcanist (I unlocked and maxed out the storm calling skill line on my dk beforehand) and it doesn't seem to be levelling up, not after running Skyreach, Lep Seclusa (normal) solo or handing in the relevant quests.

Do you have skills slotted on your ability bars? More skills slotted, faster leveling

There is also a green CP buff for it

Once you have reached "Rank 50" of a Subclassed skill line, that skill line is available to your account and any characters on that account.

Reaching Rank 50 on your primary class does not unlock the skill line being rank 50 for other characters BUT it does allow you to "equip" the skill line and it not count towards the skill line being "subclassed" (in the top right corner where you have 0/3 subclassed allocation", but one of your characters as stated above will still have to level up the skill line to make it "rank 50" on all characters. Example: Main DK has rank 50 on all 3 DK skill lines. Switch to Sorc the DK skill lines will have a "+" under the subclassing selection menu when you visit the shine to stuhn and select a new skill line" The DK skill lines on while on your sorc will be level 1 and have to be leveled up to rank 50 which then would make them available to any other characters immediately and they would be rank 50. If you were also on that same sorc and say you had never made a templar. You would have a different icon in the shrine to stuhn for subclassing and when you select that it allocates that line as 1 / 3 skill lines being allocated to subclassing to level up. You can only have 3 of those active and you must max those out before being able to go back and select a new "subclass" line (one that has never reach level 50 on any character) to progress.

In regards to progressing level, as its always been you must have a slotted active / ultimate ability on the bar youre currently using when a monster dies / quest turn in / etc (something granting xp) and then that will progress not only the level of that ability but it also progresses the "rank" of the skill line. The more abilities you have assigned on the bar when you are given xp the faster the skill line will rank up.

Hopefully that answers your questions? If not please just let me know :)

    Thank you,

Thanks for your replies Waseem and Defatank

I levelled up 8 skill lines on my main sorc character on the first day primarily because he's my master crafter so I could do the most master writs I had on him which was easy and quick to do (I have 14 different characters across all classes).

I did put multiple skills from the same class skill lines on the same bar (half and half to do 2 skill lines at the same time) when I was levelling up those class skill lines to 50 to unlock them for my other characters who weren't of the same class.

I completely forgot about the new green cp buff though, doh!

After fixing that buff and using a %150 experience scroll today Hurricane was visibly levelling up though slower than when I levelled up the skills earlier on my sorc and then dk, I think because the mini experience buff event was on.

The subclassed skills are account bound.
I did the dailies on 3 characters with Assassination to max out the skill.
